We have tried multiple mexican restaurants in Lexington, and this one appears to be the most consistently good. The food is always delicious. All of the various enchilada platters are excellent as well as the burritos. The service is outstanding. Drinks are reasonably priced and equally delicious. Highly recommend
Not as good as some of the other reviewers. Service was not on point on a Friday night. Long periods of server nowhere in sight. In the end after being presented the check, server brought back wrong credit card and ticket to sign which he didn’t catch. Carne Asada was good but the simple tacos were not. They absorbed the meat juice and were soggy on the side they were laying on. A good Mexican bean soup was the starter. Been here a long time. Place was packed. They must do it right most of the time.
Some say this Tex-Mex location is the oldest in Lexington, and although I have had suspect experiences in the past, my last two experiences have been very positive.With friendly service, no wait for our table, and a simple menu that was well-executed, we will continue to return until we have a reason not to. However, the interior of the restaurant could certainly use a face-lift.The menu offers unique seafood options (Peninsula-style cooking) that you might not find elsewhere. We ordered beef and chicken enchiladas and tacos, simple classics executed extremely well, and with good-quality meats.
