Amazing food and hospitality. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Tried their Gumbo and was very tasty. Unfortunately me and my friends were already full so could not try much but my experience was worth it.
I just recently got this to go. I had their gumbo and it’s amazing how good authentic gumbo tastes. The guy up front who took my order was very helpful helping me decide what to order. I will be back. Very quick service!
Stopped here while road tripping. Amazing food, quick and friendly service, and priced very reasonable. Good environment and even a selection of hot sauces made right here in- restaurant! Menu rotates daily. Many vegetarian options.
So glad these guys are back on my side of town. Very good fast Cajun/Creole cooking. The restaurant is pretty nice as far as strip mall interiors go, and although I got the food to go, I would definitely sit inside. Recommended: maque choux. One request: serve the food on recyclable containers?
It’s a fair place, with decent food at a very decent price. It is themed for Creole cooking, and the food does taste good. It is not a place where I would go if I need to pamper myself, but instead, I would go on a normal day to fulfil my appetite with good food at a nominal price.
I got the Gumbo plate and although it wasn’t the greatest I’ve had, the portion was huge, it was good and the price was reasonable. I wish I’d have done a split plate and tried the red beans and sausage. Cool offering that I didn’t take advantage of.
Great, cheap eats, and excellent customer service. I’ve been here twice, and both times the food was excellent. Because of the ability to order two entrees in a large plate, I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu. My favorite is the Maque Choux over pasta, but everything is great! Since the menu consists primarily of various prepared sauces served over either rice or pasta, it’s extremely fast. Also they offer free samples, so you really can’t go wrong. On my most recent visit, I ordered a half Yatwich. Shortly after paying, they realized they were out of the drunken chicken that goes on the sandwich. They apologized profusely and offered me not only another meal in place of my sandwich, but also to give me the sandwich to go once it was ready. On my way out, they gave me a full Yatwich, and yet another apology. So to make up for being temporarily out of the thing I ordered, they gave me a free small plate AND a free half a sandwich. That kind of treatment is what turns an occasional customer into a regular. My only complaints are that they allow people to say Pray-leen, instead of insisting on Prah-leen, and they serve red beans and rice every day of the week. Considering the outstanding customer service, I suppose those little flaws can be overlooked, even by a NOLA purist 😉
