This is my favorite best kept secret lunch or dinner spot on limestone. Appetizers are all excellent and the spicy bulgogi never disappoints. If you’re new to Korean food, start with bulgogi or chicken stir fry or a dol sot before getting into some of the more complex dishes to accustom yourself to the flavors.
Amazing food. I dont know about anything but the spicy bul go gi, I get it every time and it is amazing!
Point. Terrible Service. Rude and rushed through ordering every time. Times of business incorrectly posted. They stop serving at 830pm not 9
I’ve always like this restaurant but hadn’t been there for a while. Went tonight and WOW it was excellent. I especially liked the soft shell crab appetizer, but everything was good from miso soup to the green tea ice cream. Service was perfect. Two entrees, 1 appetizer, 2 Asahi beers, and dessert was only $38. One of new favorites.
Great lunch or dinner spot. It’s easy to miss this great spot in the hubbub of Limestone and Euclid Avenue. The food always tastes fresh, well prepared and the service fast. Love the attention to the food and the moderate prices. A gem.
Really gone downhill. *It somewhat pains me to write this because I was long a fan of Han Woo Ri*I have eaten at this place so many times over the years, and I’m sorry to say it’s jumped the shark. The first thing they did wrong was changing from a traditional style walk-up to counter and order type of Korean place, like you find in places like Taiwan, to a be seated and order from a waiter place. The second thing is they’ve replaced that counter with sushi that is over-priced, and from what I can tell, hardly anyone orders.Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, many of my favorite menu items have been altered for the worse. The special seafood pancake now no longer has any seafood. It’s just some vegetables. The dumplings have no meat but have tofu only. The Korean style soup they had has been replaced with generic miso soup, that is so-so. And the self-serve Korean tea is no longer there.I could say more about wait-times, some of the wait staff, but I’ll stop there with the negatives. The primary positive is that, compared to most of the near-campus fare, it’s better food.
Quick, pleasant service. Delicious food, in fact the bibimbap is probably the best you’ll find within 100 miles. The Bul Go Gi is also delicious, and highly recommended. If you like Asian food, or even just plain American barbecue, you owe it to yourself to try their Bul Go Gi.
