Awesome, awesome, awesome. It’s a family owned joint and they couldn’t do it any better. The dad is a killer cook and everything is so cheap!! A huge box of meat and rice for under $10!! It sounds so simple….yet so amazing. If you haven’t tried it already. Please do.
Hibachi Express – delicious food…and TONS of it !!. You will not walk away disappointed or hungry with Hibachi Express. The establishment is also locally owned and the staff are very hospitable….and quick!! The food is hibachi-style cooked, with your choice of chicken, steak, shrimp, fish, or vegetable. You can also opt for teriyaki-style. Their hibachi sauce is to die for. I could stock up on that stuff. You’ll also spend around $8 w/o a drink, for a whole bunch of food. I usually have to take the rest home. This place is a gem on UK campus. Parking is a bit challenging, so do your best to find a meter. You will get fined if you park in the E-Lots designated for UK employees. Luckily, it’s within walking distance from my office!
Excellent food for a very good price! Would recommend to anyone! Plus the portions are huge, you can make two meals out of one!
Yummy and Quick. I ate at this place everyday for almost 2 weeks. Shrimp hibachi and crab rangoon are my favs here. Service is quick and people are very nice. I did not like the chicken at all, but I’m not a big chicken eater either. YUM YUM and spice mayo sauce makes the meal. GREAT prices for the amount of food you get, they load ya up.
Pretty Awesome. Just tried Hibachi Express today, it’s right by Pizza hut and Prince Hookah. I didn’t see a parking lot but there is street parking. I ordered the Chicken and Fish with fried rice and steamed vegetables. Next time I’ll try the steamed rice for a little bit of a lighter meal. Everything was cook to order and the kitchen is visible from the counter. The fish was surprisingly excellent! It didn’t take more than ten or so minutes for our food to come out. They serve their food in a standard styrofoam box, which was completely full. The servings were very generous. My meal came out to $9 with a drink, but they had options from $5. The inside is nice and clean and the staff was welcoming and considerate. I would definitely give this place a shot as it is part of a limited list of options for fresh, generally healthier, and inexpensive food in town.
