This place is one of my favorite joints in Lexington. They have over 100 beers on tap and they always keep changing every other week so you would never run out of something new to try. Their loaded fries are to die for. Great for going there on game nights. They stay open till late which makes it an ideal place to go when one gets off from work late.

Love HopCat. Huge place, biggest craft beer selection in town, reasonable prices, and poutine — what more could you want! The hardest thing is trying to figure out which of the 100+ beers I want to drink, although they thankfully offer samples of most. They have a number of massive burgers, Vladimir Poutine, upscale pizza rolls, sandwiches, excellent chili, and CRACK fries. These are fries that are sprinkled with crack I think, well at least that’s I think since they are addictive and they were voted to the Ten Best French Fries by Food Network. The poutine is a must try if you aren’t familiar with the Canadian staple food, they are crack fries topped with potato & cheese pierogi, wisconsin cheddar cheese curds, stout caramelized onions & hickory smoked bacon smothered in sour cream gravy. Not entirely traditional recipe, but amazing all the same. They have had a number of beer pairing events. I went to a Ben & Jerry’s and New Belgium event that had a number of ice cream courses paired with NB beer for around $11. It was well worth the price of admission and the stomach ache afterwards! We have had a couple of work events there and they have been much more fun than the previous places we went to as a group.Glad we have this place in Lexington!

I am highly disappointed in this establishment. I planned a birthday party for my husband and this is where he wanted to come (big mistake). I contacted you and you told me if I had 20 people we could reserve an area. When I had 20 people, I called to reserve and you told me that you would not accommodate me because it might anger other patrons. That’s does not seem like a very good business decision to me. 20 people are coming into your establishment to celebrate a birthday where everyone will be drinking and eating. If you weren’t going to be able to reserve an area, why would you tell me you could if I had a certain number of people? Not only that but the person I talked to on the phone was very rude and told me it would be fine if I wanted to take my business elsewhere. So we are. I will never be coming to this establishment again.

Ive been 5-6 times and keep hoping it will improve. Great beer selection. Beware if you sit upstairs, it takes a loooonnng time get get a beer from 1st fl taps to 2nd fl. Food is okay but not great. Service about the same. Great beer selection, though!

First experience… I had high hopes of HopCat when I walked in the door. My food was brought from the kitchen and BURNT. NO one offered to take it back. I even mentioned to the waitress how burnt my food was and she just looked all confused like she didn’t really care. Rude. Although they didn’t send me my coupons as promised, I went back in for another chance. Crack fries are so tasty! I also got an excellent Bloody Mary. Third time was a charm. Had the BEST spinach salad, it was HUGE. I added turkey which made the salad almost 15 bucks.. the only downfall. Was so happy with the quality of the salad I really didn’t mind too much. 5 stars!!!

If you are looking for a new place to eat in #lexington you have to try @hopcatlexington the atmosphere is excellent with 90’s throwback music. Come hungry with a big appetite because you will want to try everything, if you love #craftbeer you will have ample choices. Most importantly, the service was beyond amazing. Ask for Kimberly and she will take care of you, she was by far one of the best servers I’ve ever had – great personality, attentive and she knows her shit. This will be a new favorite for sure. As if all of that was not enough to love it, they also had a wide variety of veg friendly options! #downtownlexington #hopcatlexington #dinnertime #goodtimes #nomnom #craftbeer #beer #bestservice #veggiefriendly
