Much prefer Jersey Mike’s to the other sub shop chains. The closest comparison would be Jimmy John’s but Jersey Mike’s also offers a number of hot subs and wraps. I have been twice and ordered the #13 Original Italian both times (make sure you get the cherry pepper relish) which the employee cheerfully informed was what made Mike famous. A regular Italian and a bag of chips runs $9 and change. I have been very happy with the size and quality of the sub both times. The Italian has Provolone, Ham, Prosciuttini, Cappacuolo, Salami, and Pepperoni and in my opinion is meant to be eaten Mike’s Way which adds onions, lettuce, tomato, red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, oregano, and salt (hold the onions).In the end, it is just a sub sandwich and is probably a dollar or two more expensive than Jimmy John’s but I am very excited that Lexington finally has a Mike’s again.
