Ughhhhhh. Jw’s steakhouse is a poorly run establishment. while it has a fantastic staff of chefs, servers, bartenders etc….the leadership is a complete joke. just glancing at the menu it looks and sounds fantastic, but the quality of the ingredients used is pathetic which makes the food sub-par. the staff of chefs and cooks there pull off some serious miracles with dennys level ingredients. so props to them. message to marriott execs, the people running your kitchen suck!! ps- you look like idiots walking around in high paper chef hats.

Bass, Sweet Ricotta with Toasted Sunflower Seeds, Drunken Cranberries, and Drizzled with a Honey Balsamic Reduction. Baked Black-Striped Bass on a bed of Sweet Ricotta with Toasted Sunflower Seeds, Drunken Cranberries, and Drizzled with a Honey Balsamic Reduction23 Feb, 2011Steak Enthusiasts!. JW’s is fairly well known in the horse industry, however as a steak enthusiast please do not overlook this upscale steakhouse! There really is much to say about a restaurant that loves to cater to the needs of its guests. From Kentucky traditions like Fried Green Tomatoes, Hot Browns, Lamb with Ky Mint Julep Sauce, and Spicy Shrimp and Grits..all the way to choice cut steaks, lobster tails, and fresh daily seafood dishes. I have enjoyed everything I have eaten of of their menu!

Over priced and under-delevered. Dinner menu is ala carte. Sides are generous, family style. Steak was cooked to the correct level, but was cold when delivered.

Griffin gone bad. We decided to stay on the property to relax and have a good meal without having to take taxi after having a bottle of wine. I would have gladly paid for the car service knowing what I know now. We had to wait 15 minutes to be greeted at the door of a half empty restaurant. Note to self…the next time this happens run. We sat down and again we waited. To make a long story short and $200 later (that was for 2 people by the way) I will not be back.

Vegetarian friendly steakhouse. JW’s is a steakhouse, but I was surprised to find how vegetarian friendly it actually is. Being a vegetarian in Kentucky makes it almost impossible for me to go out to eat. But at JW’s they specially make vegetarian dishes by request, and they were so nice and helpful about it! It’s a little on the pricier side, but well worth it for a nice night out.

V Day Food. Valentine’s Day Entree15 Feb, 2011Saved my Life. I had forgotten to make a reservation for my girlfriend and me on Valentine’s Day, and JW’s saved my life. They were more than accommodating and even had a special which also had a vegetarian option. AMAZING!!!! The V-Day package was a set price of $150 which isn’t much for dinner for two, and it was a 4 course meal.(Amuse Bouche, 2 Harvest Salads, 2 Surf n’ Turfs, Dessert, and a Champagne Toast)We were greeted by an amazing server whose wine pairings was exquisite. Once I placed our ordered we shortly received our Amuse Bouche. It was a tasty tantalizing tongue tingler. On our plate we had 4 mini tuna rolls with fresh ginger accompanied with soy sauce and wasabi shaving (she was a little afraid of the wasabi, but she devoured it like the champ I knew). Then came our harvest salads. The lettuce was so crisp, that with every bite you took you heard a sensational crunch. The dressing was a great compliment. A lot of times we go to dinner the vinaigrettes are a little vinegar heavy but here it was a perfect blend. My favorite part of the meal SURF n’ TURF!!!! A perfectly cooked 4 ounce filet mignon medallion and a 4 ounce African lobster tail with Asparagus. Thank goodness we both got one, because I was not going to share, and neither was she. The Filets were so juicy and full of flavor that I didn’t even salt of pepper my meal. It was a perfect blend of land and sea.Her favorite part of the meal was the dessert. Vanilla Bean Oreo Crusted Cheesecake with a Chocolate Gnoche accompanied with 2 long stemmed caramel dipped strawberries. This was by far the icing on the cake. The dessert was so delicious that even though I only got a bite of the cheesecake I would recommend it be on the Food Network. The strawberries looked caramelized so I didn’t even want to touch them.We closed the night with a champagne toast which came with dinner, I am so not sleeping on the couch tonight

New Menu is exciting!. The new menu at Jws has a lot to offer, now including Lamb, African Lobster Tail, Spicy Shrimp and Grits, and fresh fish specials every night, on top of their choices for top quality steaks! Not only that but the new harvest salad is pretty tasty. Don’t forget about the award winning Bourbon Butter Cake for dessert. It is for sure at least worth a try, because much has changed over the years!
