Nice atmosphere: good thin crust pizza. We’ve been to Parlay Social on three occasions and have been pleased each time. They serve surprisingly-good finger foods (e.g., sandwiches, specialty nachos, pizza). I recommend the thin-crust pizza. I’ve had the margarita and the Hawaiian pizza and found them both delicious. They also have very good happy hour prices for drinks.
Poor management. There were so many issues that ultimately stemmed from poor management. We made a reservation for a friend’s 30th birthday. They called to cancel the reservation the day before. We still went, and they squeezed us in. The waitress was rushing us from the start. Then she completely forgot the birthday girl’s entree. We were halfway done with our food before she addressed the issue. To make it worse, they were out of what my friend had ordered. The manager came over, but was ultimately trying to make excuses instead of owning the mistake. To make everything right, the manager comped the food that my friend NEVER EVEN RECEIVED and bought her a birthday shot. Seriously? My suggestion to the management: manage your restaurant.Make sure your employees are clear on your reservation policies and menu items. When a mistake does occur, don’t try to make excuses for it.
Good beer selection, nice atmosphere, free wifi and everyone liked their grilled cheese sandwiches. The hostess and waitress were both very pleasant and helpful. The blues/jazz band was pretty good, but a little on the loud side for my taste, though most people probably wouldn’t mind it. Sandwiches were quite reasonable at about ten bucks. We’ll come back again.
Bad experience. Again. The doormen are extremely rude for the second time, and having to pay $5 for men only (girls free) is ridiculous. This is Lexington, and there wasn’t even any music playing. Food is mediocre and uncreative. Wine list is a joke.
Great place. I have been there twice. Like the pizza’s and the grilled cheese sandwiches were sooooo good. The service was exceptional and the prices are very good. Several of my friends have been there .and are planning on going back. I can’t wait to go back.
Seriously, they don’t carry ketchup for a bar food joint. A rating in the 60’s should have warned me.
Not Pleased. Food was ok, our waitress seemed busy and helped people that sat after us before us. But the worst is when i ordered a white russian and when I got it here were chunks in it of milk that had been flaking from the container and it tasted sour. When I went into the bar to get it remade the bartender was rude and said well it has cream in it I responded with yes but if your cream has chunks you shouldn’t serve it to customers. She them directly in front of me told another bartender to remake it because I was complaining. If you are going to compain about a customer do not do it in front of them. I will not be returning nor will I recommend this place to anyone.
