My partner and I were visiting from out of town and went to Silks Lounge last Saturday. We were charged an inappropriate amount of money for a shot of Bourbon. The bar’s alcohol was all set on the same shelf so it was impossible to know that the shot he ordered was going to ring up over $70. We were given no warning by the bartender. Furthermore, when we asked her to reverse the charges, she said there was nothing she could do and promised a call from the manager. The manager never called. This leaves me very suspicious of the bar’s general business practices. I’ve filed a report with the BBB of central Kentucky in hopes that this doesn’t happen to other out-of-town travelers. NOT COOL.Additionally, I researched the retail price of the bourbon he ordered and the bar’s mark up was nearly 500%–this is also extremely inappropriate and unfair. I advise all travelers to stay away from Rosebuds/Silks!
