Well I ate here a few times while on my Official Trip to Lexington and boy, isn’t this a wonderful place to have a quick meal. I am in love with their Cheese fries – Simply awesome.

Really enjoyed my first visit here while in town with a concert. Surprised me too how fast the food was served. Their menu is one of those that can be cheap, or expensive depending on what you ordered. I will say I was very satisfied and my appetite was curbed eating cheap. I ordered a burger and cheese fries and a root beer float. My meal was very tasty. Definitely has a college atmosphere to it but I feel like people of all ages could enjoy a good meal here. I did enjoy the inclusion of a couple arcade and pinball machines.

Not good. Only thing going for tolly-ho is that it’s been around for forever…the staff is rude, the service is usually uninterested and terribly unorganized, and the food is barely average/terribly over-priced. it was bearable at their old location because it had some charm – now they are just a horribly run restaurant in a nice building – which seems wrong

Fake cop security issue. Tolly Ho is a late night tradition for Lexingtonians and UK students.Want breakfast at 3 am,you can’t beat it. Unfortunately, you are in danger if you go there late night on the weekend. This danger is created by untrained armed guards posing as police in the establishment. These idiots should be wearing bright pink shirts that say safety helper. Instead they have fake police uniforms with fake radios and REAL guns. One of the guards is wearing his gun in a completely unsecured fashion, just begging for some drunk idiot to shuck it and start waving a 9 mm around, a situation Introduced completely unnecessarily by this laughable bunch of posers. This strategy of using the fake cops is I’ll advised to begin with,it creates an unnecessary adversarial condition which someone WILL eventually act on. Do you appreciate my business? Or are you hoping to beat and maybe shoot me? Not that these police academy rejects could actually ever respond appropriately to a real world security risk. They are in fact the biggest threat to your security in the establishment. The owners should ask themselves this, what situation could arise in which I am willing to subject myself to the liability of one of these idiots actually drawing and firing their weapon, and potentially maiming or killing one of my CUSTOMERS?!!!!! If there is no good answer to that, and trust me there is not, just tell these wannabes to leave their guns at home. I wore a badge for 20 years, a badge that I earned. Its insulting to see some fat kid wearing their cracker jack badge and trying to look authoritative. What are you people doing?!!! Are we your enemies? All cower in fear of the Folly Ho police state. Which is actually signifantly more dangerous than an actual police state, where there is a legitimate job being done by trained professionals under high standards of scrutiny. Take a look at how actual professional security companies handle security at music festivals and concerts with their bright yellow safety shirts and no weapons so as not to create unneccesary animosity and to encourage people who need help to be comfortable to seek that help from the security staff. Tolly Ho,s approah is the exact opposite of proven best practices. So, if you want biscuits and gravy, go for it, but just know that some drunk kids may accidently shoot you with the security guards gun!!!!

Really?. Had to wait an hour AFTER PLACING MY ORDER. This is at 10pm on a weekday mind you. They gave me someone else’s milkshake, I was done eating by the time they even started remaking the shake, I intentionally walked out without it. Ridiculous. I get better service at bang bang at 2:30 on the weekend.

Cheap diner food. I was dragged there today by a group of friends while at a conference. Omelet was greasy and there are no refills on drinks. Not pleased. Will not go back.

Always A Winner!. A staple here in good ole’ Lexington, KY. I am liking the new location much better than the old one. Veggie burger rocks my socks and I always get a fried egg on it. Another favorite is the veggie omelet with apple butter on the side. I need to try more things from the menu. I usually stay between those two.. the tots are pretty YUM.
