Love Bendoya!!!. I had been frequenting the restaurant for several years and recently had to stop coming in due to my work location changing. I order every now and then to go just to get a fix. I know a lot of people complain about the wait time and how understaffed the restaurant is. Most of these people are new to Bendoya and usually forget about it once they’ve had the sushi. First of all, Bendoya is not a national food chain, it is a small family owned restaurant open only for lunch. Secondly, think about what kind of food they serve…it’s sushi. Meant to be made fresh, not prepared before the restaurant opens or the night before. Because of this, yeah, you’re going to have to wait a little bit. As far as the staff being rude, I’ve never had any issues. But then again, I don’t treat them rudely myself. Smile people, you may just get a smile back. Make sure you understand the specials before you order. It’s like any other buy one, get one deal people. No sharing which means two items per person, obviously the cheaper item will be the free one. Not rocket science. Now as far as the sushi goes, hands down the best sushi I’ve had. All sauces are made in house, (that ginger dressing tho!! I swear I could eat it by the pound). If you can ever make it in on a day they’re not running the special I highly recommend it. Great conversation (as they have more time) and great presentation with the food. Their crawlfish is sooooo good. If you’re a fan of spicy foods, request the fried chili on top of your roll. The spicy crab and spicy tuna just don’t taste the same anywhere else. Bottom line, good people, excellent food. You should obviously go.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!. The waitresses are very nice. They were very helpful! Our food came out at a decent time considering its made to order rather than premade or drive through. The manager, would come and check on us to see if we needed anything. I don’t know what the person below me is talking about because the several times I came here I have been fully satisfied!!! Even if they messed up, which was very little, they always offered me deals or refunds. I just love it. Number 1 sushi spot I’ll always go to without a doubt!! The workers are very friendly and will make you feel comfortable. Everytime I go, which is a lot, I always see the people around me having a good time and enjoying their meals.I’ll be back very soon! I recommend this place to everyone. Especially my friends and family. I just know that they’ll love it.
Not going back. The service is horrible the workers are very rude. I went today for the first time placed two orders one for co worker and one for myself. mind you the receipt says one was order at 12:34 the other says just a few second later. I go the first order in about 10 mins the other order I waited about 35 mins for they kept telling me it will be right out but it never came I get to the bar and asked someone why it was taking to long they gave some lame excuse saying there way a few orders ahead of mine or it was over looked they couldn’t tell me why I was still waiting ask for a refund because i was now going to be late for work I only get an hr for lunch. the lady said they are bagging it now it to late for a refund but still I waited about 6 to 7 mins when they were so called bagging it up. never will I ever go again or would I recommend someone going the food was not good. the snapper was not fresh in my jake roll and the other items we order were just not up to par of the many places around town. don’t go if you are on a time limit or go if you want good food and service because you will not get that here. ….sorry to the readers for all the grammar and punctuation errors this place has me that upset.
Simply delicious. The owner/sushi chef and his family are delightful and genuinely nice people. In my humble opinion, the Tokyo Roll is the best sushi I have ever eaten. I frequent Bendoya regularly and recommend it highly.
Sorely understaffed. Went today for 2for1 lunch special with co-workers. Expected some wait, knowing that’s a busy time….but It took ONE HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES to get our food! (And they weren’t particularly sorry about it.) Thank goodness our office manager was with us! There was nowhere near enough staff to handle the crowd. I saw the same person waiting tables, bussing tables and cashing people out. I mean, it was just ridiculous. It’s not like it’s news to them that it’s busy at lunchtime on Tuesdays! Get staffed people!
Okay. Tried this place on a groupon. It was decent. One roll was very good and the other were somewhat subpar. I might return again to try the BOGO specials.
