Favorite Restaurant in Louisville. Caffe Classico is my favorite restaurant in the city… one it makes me feel like I’m ina European cafe… the guitar player, the subtle waitresses, and delicious gelato. It also serves as a great place for any ocassion… but I frequent there for birthdays and just random nights. Their menu is very detailed, but I have stuck to the basics. The pomme frites are out of this world! But just order a half order, its plenty 😉 the gazpacho is delicious if you like gazpacho…. my faovrite is ‘The West Coast’ sandwich. Vegetarian based, its delicious and filling. And if you are into dessert, their gelato choices, along with their locally made desserts are FAN-tastic. Please take your grilfriend here, she’ll love it…. or your mom… or yourself ;))
Great experience. My girlfriend and I had breakfast here the other day and we were very impressed. The staff were top notch, friendly, attentive, and very professional. The food was excellent as well. Can’t wait to make this a regular stop.
Not bad. My wife and I decided to try Caffe Classico as we have seen it many times going down Frankfort but for some reason did not realize it served dinner near the end of the week days. We arrived about 5 PM so the place was not very busy, the server came over just as we sat down with menus and taking drink orders. I had the bean soup which was quite good and then my main course was the steak and fries and my wife had the chicken pasta dish. There was plenty for us to eat, the fries were quite good. My wife could not finish all of her meal, time for a doggy bag, I was able to eat all of the steak which was good but not outstanding. The server checked on us several times, refilling our water at least once. I took a peanut butter cookie home but it did not have much taste, I now realize that I do not think anyone in this town can make a really good peanut butter cookie. While we were eating, several tables filled up with diners and it seemed they all received good service. Yes, we would go back, several other items on the menu teased my taste buds.
Great atmosphere & food. European atmosphere and the food is great. The french fry/pomme frites appetizer is very good with all of the sauces. Their gelato in the cafe room is very good as well.
Hipsterish But Good. I nice little upscale place with very good coffees and food. I’ve not had anything there yet that was not excellent (soups and sandwiches). I can understand others who criticize the wait staff experience, but hey, they’re young and hipterish. Nice to see that they’ve needed to expand into more space for evening service.
Easily one of my favorite spots in town. You can’t miss with the risotto cakes and lima beans. The atmosphere has a simple elegance. I have always found the staff friendly although I will agree they are sometimes a little too hands-off. The coffee is excellent.
Good simple lunch menu. But don’t come here if you’re in a hurry.
