I like the decor but just nothing memorable about the good that I want to continue to visit.
So today me and my family decided to grab lunch so we found the Westport rd. Cheddar’s. Walking in the hostess was in her phone and not welcoming. After being sitting down for 10 min. Finally someone decided to take our drink order and let us know that our server was coming in a second. Well she never showed up and our drinks drinks didn’t either. So we left. I have like this place until now but never again. Worst experience ever
I’ve never been very fond of Cheddar’s Casual Cafe. However, today I gave it one last chance and it was, yet again, disappointing. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes to be served. I had to ask a passing waitress where our waiter was. About two minutes passed, and she came back to our table only to tap a waiter’s shoulder who was five feet from our table…He came to our table and apologetically took our drink orders. The food was decent, but the service is not where it should be.
Good food but bring your winter coat. Brrrrr
Don’t go an hour before closing.. I usually have an okay meal here, but tonight the food was cold and the service was bad. My red beans and rice were cold, and I asked for something else. The server came back saying the kitchen had already put everything away. Unacceptable. Probably won’t go again, and I’m the Mayor on Foursquare!
Sadly downhill since last visit. The last time I ate at Cheddar’s was maybe half a year ago, possibly a year. At the time, I enjoyed a pretty decent Shepherd’s Pie entree. I recently (early Aug 2012) went with extended family and had the country fried steak (aka chicken fried steak in some places). It was surprisingly terrible. The crust separated immediately from the meat. The meat had apparently not been seasoned before batter dip, because it had zero flavor. The gravy gave it flavor, but was an overthick consistency. It will be a long while before I’m willing to try them again, unless it’s not my decision.
