Don’t Go. We were out doing errands one day and stopped at China Castle for a late lunch. We were cold and hungry and the food sounded good. The food was actually greasy and tasteless. I ordered the General Tsao’s Chicken – it came with a spongy breading on it that was greasy. My boyfriend ordered a vegetable dish and it had a gray look to it. It was all pretty awful. We will stick to Vietnam Kitchen in our end of town and skip this joint.
New Owners and Menus:(. This used to be my favorite restaurant…Food was amazing and the owners were so nice. Now: new owners, raised prices and the food was very bland. Everything was greasy and the sauce was not very good at all. Sad day for the South end.
Owners have changed. This used to be a jewel of cheap take-out, but has now changed owners. The menu and recipes have not been preserved. It is now essentially, Double Dragon 3. Don’t waste your money, the food is now ranging from meh to terrible.
Mixed review. Tried it for the first time. Got Cashew shrimp and was not impressed. Tiny tiny shrimp in a broth (not sauce) w steamed veggies and a few cashews. Was not what I wanted or expected! But there was enough for another meal. The rice was good and crab rangoons were huge but almost too full of cream cheese if that is possible. I will try it again and get something different. I usually try a couple of times before I give up. They were fast, friendly and clean.
I don’t know why John had such a bad experience here. Granted I am not a world traveler but I think the food is great. The crab rangoon is fantastic, the lo mein is tasty, everything I have gotten there has been very good. Its a clean friendly place I recommend to everyone.
Worst Chinese Food I have ever had. I’ll admit, I am not from the area, and there are probably not that many great options, and when I like to get chinese food, I go to Chinatown in Boston or NYC. This was one of the worst chinese meals I have ever had. It was tasteless, bland, and totally americanized. The meals of 10 different people were are mediocre at best. I would never go back to this place in a million years
