Sad state of affairs. S a 25 year customer I am sorry to say Clifton Pizza is off my list. Ordered a large Clifton Special with a $2 off coupon. When I picked up the pizza the price was $3 higher than on their web page. Server admitted they knew the price was higher but refused to honor the advertised price. At home, the crust was tough and the bland with a bitter overtone. What was once a community delight has drifted into a mediocre product with uncaring management attitude to their customers.
Best pizza in town
Best Artichoke dip on Earth. So sorry that we did not get a chance to try more.. but the artie dip was the most robust freshest and well priced I have ever encountered. This place is full of neighborhood character and friendly if not eclectic people. Try it, the beer selection is great too.
Liked it. Nice place to hang out wid frnds on weekend….love the bands….food is superb…will surely come here again
Meh.. Went in on a Tuesday night and the place was pretty empty. The waitress was with us very quickly and we decided on the spinach artichoke dip, stuffed mushrooms, and the 9 to5 (minus green olive, plus artichoke). I was surprised at how long it took to get food, as there were so few tables occupied. The mushrooms were good – the sausage filling was almost like Thanksgiving stuffing – I noticed quite a bit of sage. The dip was pretty good, although the chips were pretty cheap and salty. The pizza was just ok – not bad but nothing to brag about. Our drinks were refilled often and our server was attentive. One thing each of us adults noticed was the drab decor and the amount of dust on the fans and ceiling. Overall, it was okay. Price wise, we spent $46 for the four of us, with enough left overs for at least two people to have another meal. Not bad. Might go back eventually to try one of the sandwiches.
Went on a Tuesday when they have a ‘band’. Ordered the artichoke dip- skip it and the chicken tetrazzini and spaghetti and meatballs. All tasted like something from a can…. Not worth the money!
Atmosphere was entertaining, but the food was subpar. We had the calzones which were huge, but decent. Kids got pizza which had too much cheese. Youngest, 10 yr old, almost choked.
