GREAT LUNCH SPOT. Shocked to read some of these reviews…dirty? Ummm no. Expensive? Not at all. They make three delicious homemade soups everyday. They do not have a dollar menu like McDonalds, but you get what you pay for, right?! If you want some dirty cheap preservative-filled food, hit up a drive through and pinch those pennies. If you want something fresh and unique, this place is perfect. The sandwiches range from about 6-8 bucks. They will satisfy your appetitie and they are fresh. And if you think that is a price that breaks your pocketbook, you’re living under a rock. Their soups rock. My favorite sandwich is the Red, white and blue. It’s delicious. Get you some. You won’t regret it.
Not that good, dirty store
Good Soups and Sandwiches, and a good value too.. The Crave Caf is a great option offering a variety of soups and sandwiches large enough to tackle any ones appetite. But it isn’t a generic sandwich shop either as they offer a wide variety of cheeses and breads, not to mention their signature creations. Their small interior dining area is cramped, having two too many tables in it, but thankfully they also offer exterior dining options too. There were no waiters when I went, but once you ordered your food at the from counter, it was brought to your table. Its not the cheapest sandwich to be had in Louisville, but it is still a great value for the quality and quantity.I have tried to share with my friends what a little Gem Caf Crave is, but I have since discovered the secret is already well known. One of my favorite aspects is that desert at the Comfy Cow is only a half block walk away.
Bring alot of $. The food and customer service a phenomenal but if you’re looking to save up on money then this is not where you should be going.
GREAT place! We bought the groupon and were excited to try this place out… We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were offered immediate assistance with ordering, menus, seating, etc. I tried the pick two with Anabel’s Sandwich (tuna) & tomato w/ Gouda soup.. Seriously, it was the best tomato soup I’ve ever had and the sandwich was amazing. My boyfriend got the KY Cobb Club (something like that) which was HUGE & so so good! We had plenty to eat and even had leftovers. Awesome place, great atmosphere, friendly employees & yummy food! We will definitely be back!
