This super charming little place is tucked in the back corner of a shopping center off of Southside Dr, across from Rubbies and behind the Ken Towery. If you are in the area, I’d suggest stopping in. I was in the area and just popped in and purchased a few items and ran out.I got a ready to go Banh Mi that I toasted up later at home. While you can maybe find better, it was inexpensive and very tasty. I also purchased some pastries and mung bean cookies. All were excellent, The mung bean cookie literally melted in my mouth leaving a heavenly peanut buttery taste I want to have again. In summary, if you are in the area, want something exotic to go, delightful pastries or sit down for a nice glass of tea or coffee with a friend, I’d say this place should be on your short list.

No pretention typical in a French baker.. In a way – we’re glad no one knows about this place. In another way, everyone should know about this place. My family of four just stopped off for an afternoon snack – I had delicious rice crepes with bbq, mushroom stuffing. My husband had an onion/bacon bun. One daughter had a 6 inch liverwurst on french bread and the other had a Long John – all for about $8. Amazing.
Wonderful and amazing coconut buns and onion & bacon buns. The pate choux is pretty good. Hot dog bun was not exemplary but it is the exception. Their cookies are good and unique (they have Hershey’s miniatures in them). Their banh mi sandwiches are good and a decent value at $3.
Worth the drive. More people should know about this place. I experienced wonderful foods and desserts I’ve never tried before and found them to be amazingly unique and wonderful. It’s worth a trip out to Southside Drive.
Banh mi is good. I had both banhmi thit and banh mi xiu mai and both are good. Enjoy Vietnamese iced coffee also with it. All for about 10 dollars. The jalapeno is hot but complements the taste. The pate cheaux (puff pastry with pork) is also delectable. Happy eating.
Really Wonderful. This is worth the drive. Wonderful French pastry, cakes and cookies plus…Vietnamease goodies. You can pick up a sandwich and a good cup of coffee. Nice little cafe to sit and enjoy your meal. Hoa, the lovely lady baker, is French trained and it showes in the quality of her work. No dried out cake and greasy frosting. I had the patechaux with pork filling. The pastry was flakey and the pork meatball inside was lean with just a hint of heat. She will be making a Buche de Noel for Christmas. Can’t wait.JUDY
