Very Good. First time to visit El Nopal since moving to Louisville. Enjoyed the tamale chill rhellano and chalupa dinner. Delish! Just one thing I didn’t care for: the chips. They are tough and dry. I liked the cheese dip and guacamole, but not those chips. I will visit again, but wish the chips could be as good as Chuy’ sThe server was nice enough to follow me to the parking lot with my forgotten drink. That’s good service!
Excellent chimichanga and margharitas, low cost and high quality. Still a secret, we got in with no waiting on Friday night.
El Nopal, Your beans are canned. Is boiling water too hard for you? You are unable to produce an avocado as an alternative to your sub-par guacamole, which looks like it’s made and bagged somewhere else. Your rice tastes like it has a phobia to spices AND you managed to overlook it. Bravo! But it’s not all bad. If all I planned on doing was drinking Coronas and eating chips and salsa, you wouldn’t be a bad place at all. Congratulations! You can at least fry chips without embarrassing yourself. Qdoba has more ‘Authentic’ Mexican food. Pass.
Great food and drinks. I love this place. Very good food and drinks. Even had a large party in the back room and none of my guest went unattended too. It was very nice and the waiters loved the tip and was thankful. Monday night drink specials are a big hit and my kids love the live music on Monday nights. We visit here often.
Great food. The hillview location is slow on service with large groups but worth the wait
