Not ready for prime time. Unfortunately this restaurant does not have the grace under pressure that Darrell did. I went to lunch with a party of 6 just yesterday and it took 10 min to be waited on and another 45 min to be served. We had to get everything boxed to go as we had to return to work. The waitress appeared disinterested as did the manager. The food was luke warm when we finally got to eat. We never received any apology or comments from the staff which was clearly not ready for the lunch crowd. If you go don’t go in a hurry unless you like takeout!
We loved it!. We are from out of town and were looking for some local options. Griff’s was awesome! The food was amazing (we had the ribs). The services was great. And the price was just right. The atmosphere is like an upscale sports bar. The owner, Darrell Griffith, was even there during our visit and very happily took a picture with us. Definitely a great spot to check out.
The food was good but the portions small. Good not great beer list but I enjoyed the local option I had. I had the chicken and waffles and the rest of my party had the mozzarella burger and the Hot Brown. The service was puzzling which was a let down to an other wise good restaurant experience because clickers that was in this location before had the same problem. Cool atmosphere with all of the Darell Griffith stuff.

Good food…need game day drink specials. Love the food & atmosphere! However, service was not good on our last visit & had to let server I never received my food. He never came back to acknowledge what happened. I brought this to manager’s attention & she removed charge of food from our bill.Also, you at least need game day drink specials. Drinks are very pricey & no specials will make it hard to attract young patrons to watch games.Again, food is very good!

Ribs. Tender fall off the bone ribs!23 Jan, 2015Upscale Dining for the game watcher.. Not a typical sports bar. It’s much more upscale then anywhere else in town. The owner and former UofL Player Darryl Griffin gave this place a much better feel to being in town and seeing what Louisville is all about.Try the Ribs they are amazing! Tried to cut them to split them but they are so tender that they fell off the bone! The nachos are huge and out of this world!Griff’s BBQ sauce is to my tasting but may be a little spicy for some We also tried the Chips and Queso and it may be one of the best Queso’s around. If you’re heading to UofL campus or to a game. Then this place is a must.
