Donuts are wonderful and always fresh tasting. Definitely try the one with bacon! I wish this place was open at night when I usually have my sweet cravings but I know most bakeries are not.
Nord’s is…. Pastry heaven. It’s small, and the line may be long, but do not be discouraged. It’s worth it. It’s always fresh, always friendly, and so cheap! Two doughnuts for less than $2? Can’t beat that. You’ll never buy a dozen from the supermarket again. Plus, there’s a local coffee shop next door. See: Sunergos coffee.
Visited Louisville over the 2015 Memorial Day weekend and went to Nord’s on Sunday morning. VERY busy but I was told this was normal for a Sunday. The wait in line was not bad and the counter help was very patient with our group. Great old school donuts with better variety than most. The Danish were the best and we could include them in our boxes of mixed donuts. Reasonable prices as well!I live in Alabama but am a transplanted northerner that knows donuts and bakery so get your GPS and find this place!
From out of town and had some friends bring us here. Come early if you want those bacon maple donuts. These donuts are great. Service is a little short-tempered, but it was crazy busy. Grabbed some donuts and brought them to the coffee shop next door which is what a lot of people seem to do. Stop on in some morning if you’re in town.
Maple and Bacon long Johns!!! That should say it all. I live in Tennessee but we travel to Louisville to visit family in Germantown several times a year and Nords is one of those must go to places. They have a maple and bacon Long John and good Lord, it’s the best. I would go there just for that but they have so many great baked goods. I grew up working in my family’s bakery and feel like I know good baked goods when I have them and Nords is the best, hands down, none come close. If you’re in Germantown, give it a try, you will be happy
The best! We always try to get them for out of town guests. The staff is incredibly generous. I once went in to buy just 2 donuts and didn’t know that I had to spend $5 to use a debit card, but the lady behind the counter told me to just take them and pay her later! The kind of service that makes you want to keep supporting the business.
WOW!!!. On our summer road trip we passed through Louisville. We decided to stop by on our way out of town after visiting Churchill Downs and had the best donuts of our lives!!!! So good that we planed our return trip home just so we could stop again. My favorite was the chocolate long john with pastry cream and the chocolate peanut was excellent. The earlier you go the better the selection.
