The service was lack-luster, as if the waitress only cared to refresh our coffee but not our water and was quite impatient with our party of 11 and the food was mostly inedible. The smoked trout hash and corn meal pancakes were delicious, but the biscuits and gravy with their house-made sausage and the pulled pork omelette *special* left our stomachs and tastebuds unsettled.
This is the best restaurant in Louisville. The most expensive thing is $15 and it’s all high quality. You get the quantity too. They have breakfast, lunch dinner. I get the corn-meal blueberry pancakes every time. They are the best pancakes I’ve had. I don’t use butter and only some occasiaonal syrup, they are that good.They are veg friendly and even vegan friendly. The breakfast stir fry is so good.Can’t spend better money at a restaurant here.
One of my favorites in Louisville. This place just gets it wen it comes to quality. As a vegetarian, it’s a relief to be able to eat somewhere that offers new takes on meatless options. This place does a great job of offering a wide variety of cuisines, including Asian, American, Thai, and more. The only thing I’ve missed out on is the brunch–definitely on my to do list!
This is, hands down, the best food I have ever eaten in Louisville! The cheese grits are awesome, the house-made sausage is good, the cheese potatoes are on point, and the cornmeal pancake is perfection!
A must try! Vegan tacos are amazing… Fruit is super fresh. My husband got the Hearty Breakfast – so much food – delicious! Highly recommend this place… Plenty of parking and friendly service.
Was very excited about this place but was really let down. Tried the black bean burger and potato salad. Burger was so dry and had no flavor to it at all. It just crumbled apart. The bun seemed a bit old and also very dry. I got the impression they cook some beans and mashed them and added nothing. Potato salad was a brownish color and tasted almost like it had gravy on it. Not good. Strange meal that ended up in the garbage…. And I don’t do that often!
Great dinner at NEC! Love the new menu! Food was fresh and prepared perfectly. Service was outstanding. We love the outdoor seating- no better place to be on such a gorgeous day! Can’t wait to return!
