Used to be better . .bring back plates.. I’ve eaten at O’Shea’s on Baxter for years, it used to be so much better, just good consistent pub grub. The menu seems to have taken a nose dive lately, only accented by the extremely annoying trend, which seems really passe’, but it’s Louisville, of serving burgers and sandwiches with fries in a bowl, on a tiny cutting board instead of plates. The fish sandwich was mediocre and fries, meh. Oh well, plenty of better competition right in the neighborhood. But seriously, bring back plates. Being trendy is lame when you can’t deliver the goods.
After being away from Louisville for two years I was excited to return, but had an awful experience. The wait staff and bartender were in attentive. I never got what I ordered and was basically told that was the best they could do. Beer prices and selection were good, but all in all I was very disappointed.
My boyfriend and I are here and it was very tasty.. He had the breakfast burger and I tried it amazing! I had the Guinness burger amazing… The drinks were fab as well… The bloodys were so good and had pickled green beans and Guinness in it! Also the Singapore sling was very refreshing!
Food, Not So Much. I indicated that I like this place but as far as the food goes–not great, not bad either. Just nothing special here (with the exception of their brisket chili–very tasty!). The fish and chips were pretty bland. Seems like a much better place for having a drink or two with friends. But there’s nothing that would draw me back.
Great for birthdays. Went here on my birthday and absolutely loved it 😀 Both service and food were good.
I used to love Osheas but they have made too many changes for the worse. Higher prices and smaller portions. Used to be a nice Irish restaurant but now it’s basically a night club.
BEST FISH & CHIPS IN TOWN!!! The place is also setup perfectly for late night partying.
