So Sad. About a year and a half ago my boyfriend and I came here and had one of the best dinners we’ve ever had. He got pork osso bucco and I got seared ahi tuna, together we shared a delicious artisan cheese plate. We raved about the place to everyone up until a couple weeks ago when we went back with a living social deal. I immediately noticed that the menu had changed, more pasta dishes, and each side was some form of a potato. I held out on expressing disappointment but voiced my observation to my bf, who said he noticed the changed menu too. We again ordered the cheese plate, but this time, instead of true local artisan cheeses, we got cubes of cheddar and swiss like you’d find at Kroger, and obviously pre-frozen grapes. Some of the cheese even had mold on it. On to the main courses. BF got a steak and mashed potatoes. The steak was thin, grey and overdone, lacked flavor, and the potatoes were thin and boring. He was extremely disappointed. I ordered a chicken dish with rice and a pineapple orange sauce. It was one of the only things I could order because I can’t have gluten. It tasted fine, but was really only about as good as something from Applebees or Chilis. Our side salads were standard and unauthentic.By the time our meals were done, we were both completely disappointed. We went there expecting it to be as great as last time, and it was wayyyyy under par. We surmised that the location must really be hurting their business, as it was on the Saturday we went, hardly anyone was there.Overall, don’t expect great food. The wine is still ok, though I was surprised to have a very sweet Riesling, normally they aren’t quite that sweet. Huge disappointment, we won’t be going back, unless they move to a different location and feature the great food they used to have.

Unknowlegable staff. I wouldn’t not have minded the dreadlocked bearded cook not wearing any hair or beard net cooking the food if we didn’t know about it (Out-of-site, out-of-mind), but we could see the kitchen through the door in the back. The waiter was lacking in skill and knowlege regarding the dishes (gluten related issues primarily) and he had to leave and ask someone for answers to our questions several times. My salad arrived well before by quests starter. In addition, the entrees were not described very well and were not what we expected at all. The setting was ok, in an old warehouse type of ambiance with a bar in the middle, but it was rather cold and uninviting. Only a few people there on a saturday night. The Christmas decorations in the window in Febuary was odd but maybe that was meant to accompany the cold temperature, had to wear coats the entire meal setting next to window. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

I wanted to like it… I can agree with the previous reviews that the restaurant does have a nice ambiance and it’s a great concept, on the other hand, I concluded the food was lackluster. It was all edible and handmade. For the price, I expected something more. The pretzels were good, but the pomegranate cheese didn’t stand up to the salty pretzel. The entrees weren’t anything to write home about either.

My wife and stopped by after work to grab a bite to eat and check out the wines, the food was awesome and great wine but the service not so much, not only was he rude but it took 25 mins to get a check and he over charged us. I was looking Into booking a event there but I will be looking some were else.
