Best teryaki ever!. Had dinner with my son. Used a groupon. We had the salmon entre and sushi. The teriyaki sauce is AMAZING! The hot tea is very flavorful! Service is really good. I live in the neighborhood and love this place.
Spider Roll. The spider roll has lots of crispy shrimp and is coated in tempura crumbs. Very yummy mayo accompanies it. Just ad a bit of wasabi and soy sauce and you’re in taste heaven.
Worst sushi in Louisville. Last night was one of the worst sushi experiences I have ever had. Normally, we love Osaka… Yesterday, the fish was poor quality, not fresh, half of the usual portion (we used a groupon) and the customer service even worse… I was personally afraid I would get food poisoning if I were to eat the sushi, and upon trying to return it, the owner refused. The bill was $47 for a plate of fish we did not eat, two miso soups and two salads. Will never go back with and would not recommend to anyone.

There are better places in the area. There are 6 to 8 sushi restaurants in the area that we visit. This one is the bottom of the list. We had a coupon and decided to try it again. I wish we didnt. The roles are the smallest of any sushi restaurants I have ever visited and the list is long, Mainland Japan, Okinawa, CA, WA, VA, MD, NC, SC, FL, IN, KY and a few more. Taste of most of the roles was okay but nothing special. We ordered a few pieces of Nigiri; tuna & tako (octopus). The tuna was small but tasted good. My wife spit out the tako it tasted so bad. I tried it but it smelled so fishy I didnt taste it. I had the house salad, iceberg lettuce with ginger dressing. Nothing more nothing less, no carrots or shredded daikon. Smoked Squid salad was ok but not the best tasting. Star Sushi in Jeffersonville IN has the best squid salad around. Hot tea was weak and tasted like boiled water. Service was good. Cost was high when you consider we ordered five roles with the intention of bringing about half home for our son. The roles were so small we had nothing left on our plate except the piece of bad tako. I have one more $25 coupon and it is heading to the trash. Not worth using.
EASILY the best Sushi in Louisville!. I’ve been to almost every sushi joint in Louisville and this place easily has the best sushi. Great quality fish, chefs that know how to season rice. Wonderful service. Prices are good but I would easily pay more for the quality. GO HERE. EAT. DO IT. TRY THE H-ROLL. Be forewarned: Once you eat here, every other sushi place will pale in comparison.
Friendly servers + Derby roll is spectacular.
