We go here all of the time. The patio is great when the weather is good. The salsa is delicious. They have our favorite beer, Dos Equis Amber, on tap with 4 sizes to choose from. The mussels in lime cream sauce (with bay leafs!!!) are out of this world. You wouldn’t think to get mussels at a Mexican restaurant but since we like to consider ourselves mussel connoisseurs, we get them wherever they offer them. These are our favorites by far!! They serve them in a sizzling stone crock that keeps them and the delicious sauce hot until they take it away. You’ll want extra bread to sop up all of the sauce too!
Service was slow, but friendly and we were OK. When the tiny waitress carrying a large tray spilled some of our entrees, we were still OK. Then nothing for 30-40 minutes. Waitress apologized many times. We said we had to go. Manager came out, threw waitress under the bus (she is in training, but no one was helping her) and pleaded with us to stay we said we would pay for what we ate (apps, drinks, and one entree of four). He said it would come out in 5 minutes and shook his head at the offer to pay. So we were surprised when we got a bill for the full amount minus $19, which amounted to 50% off the spilled entrees. Not going back.
Food was lacking heavily in flavor! Average Mexican food. Too much tequila in the margarita !!! the host and our server seemed unhappy, unfriendly and didn’t know anything about good customer service!
Today we decided to give this place another chance, not the food, which I consider magnificent, but to the crew. We had to face again with the same unfriendly and hostile hoster. Once again…25 Apr, 2015When you come to a place and first thing is the greeter grumpy and lying to you… bad. But then you find Sofia in the bar, and all these amazing staff here and everything get fix. Great place!
Recommend Avoiding This Place. The service was lacking at best. They didn’t have a hostess so it was a cluster at the hostess stand to get a seat. The server consistently forgot we were seated and forgot to stop by multiple times to see if we needed anything. She then left without saying her shift was over, and someone new started serving us which resulted in part of our order being missed. I used my debit card to pay for my meal, and they ended up charging $5.00 extra to the total amount. I won’t be back to this place, and I would recommend avoiding it. The food is decent, but it is definitely not worth it.
Jess. Went there for a margarita and guacamole. No bartender to serve us at the bar. A server finally asked us if we needed help. Even the hostess that seated us at the bar didn’t make eye contact with us to offer us a drink while she was making drinks for wait staff. Guacamole used to be good. It has definitely changed. Manager offered us a rewards card and we declined. Probably won’t return:-(
Bad. I’ve been in the restaurant industry 20 years. Today it took 90 minutes from start to check. No management ever came did a table visit, had to go get our server after 15 minutes to take our order at which point she informs us they are out of pork and brisket on a Sunday lunch? our server appeared to have at least 12 tables so over all I blame the management or lack there of for not having enough servers for a Sunday lunch after advertising their Sunday brunch. Our food was ok at best and I would suspect they use MSG. Place wasn’t that clean either. Save your time and money go to any other Mexican joint in town.
