Do not eat at the Rye!. Over priced and terrible food! The meat was raw and the ravioli’s were extremely salty. I think they dumped salt on it right before they brought me my meal. DO NOT EAT THERE!!!!!!
This used to be a great place with a great staff. The new staff is totally ambivalent to your dining experience. The waiter was rude until he brought the bill. Even worse, everything is so over salted that you can’t taste the food. Each bite is like swallowing ocean water. Disappointing is being kind.
Derby fun!. Had a blast and the food was great.
Not impressed. Really cold in restaurant; food got cold quick and we were miserable. Could wait to leave.
Rye Experience. Service was great and the food was outstanding! Very fresh and extremely tasty! We really enjoyed the open kitchen concept as well. We will definitely return.
Underwhelming and overpriced.. Beautiful interior and attentive staff were the only positives of the evening. The menu is incredibly limited, and the entrees were underwhelming. The skirt steak was OK, but they only cook it at one temperature (rare). When I asked for medium I was essentially told that’s not how they do it there. The salmon was the best we tried, but nothing to write home about. The edamame agnolotti was pathetic and not very palatable. It claimed to have jumbo lump crab which was nowhere to be tasted or found. The orange , grapefruit, and fondue mixed in it did not work, and was a confusing and just bad combination. Basically its just a place built on hype, where people go to see what all the fuss is about and pretend you’re hip.
Extremely disappointing. Service was slow. I ordered salmon. I cut into it and it looked like sushi so I sent it back after speaking with a floor manager. He never returned with a new filet, promise to comp, or an apology. Our server simply explained that the salmon at Rye is always cooked that way and that she should have told us. Absolutely ridiculous. Wasted money. I won’t be returning.
