Amazing food we got there late around 8:30 pm so it wasn’t busy. It was so reasonable a bottle of wine, appetizer and dessert for $85.00 highly recommend
20% Gratuity charged automatically for a party of two?. Well, I’ve been a frequent patron to Saffrons over the last several years. In fact, I suggested Saffrons as my recent business luncheon. The food was good, and consistant on my recent visit, Lamb Shank was well prepared, and generous portion of sides (rice and salad) for $1.00 upcharge was a nice compliment. Service was another story however. The order taking process was fairly friendly and efficient, then…..She forgotten the bread we requested, and never came back for our drink refills. Since the food was on par, and it was during lunch hours, I gave them some slack, and just let the perhaps occational sloppiness slide by. The SUPRISE came at time of our bill.I am not sure this was a new policy of the establishement or not, but for lunch of two, our waitress slapped on a 20% gratuity on the bill- mind you, for a party of two? This was unprecedented restaurant misbehavior in my opinion, and I have never experience any restaurants with this policy, or allow waitstaff to automatically charge 20% gratuity for party of two. Reminder, many establishments charges 18% for party of 6 or more, the apparent arrogance of this place dares to charge 20%. I am not sure I’ll be back anymore, nor ever suggest Saffron again.Diners, Beware of your bill at this establishment!
This place advertises delivery and is located 0.5 miles from where I live, yet when I called to place an order (while sick with the flu) the person who answered the call made up a dozen excuses why they couldn’t deliver, concluding that they didn’t have a driver. He then hung up the phone. I’ve never tried saffron, and after this experience I never will.
Loved it. Short walk from hotel, had the seafood stew and it was awesome. They call it a stew but it’s really more of mixture of seafood in a red sauce that you can put over rice. They really have a good dish here.
Food was very good. Here’s the thing: When I got my change back from paying the bill, the change was missing. When I asked where it was, she said they don’t do change at that restaurant. She said they round So I said if you round down you owe me another dollar. She wasn’t too happy with that. I’m never going back there
I’ve been looking for a new Mediterranean restaurant, the grape leaf hasn’t been doing of for me. This place is fantastic. I had a great take on the Old Fashioned drink, great Persian flavors from start to finish. Fast service, all for a very reasonable price!
I’ve only been there once, but the food/drink was overly American-ized. I would not call it authentic. It wasn’t bad either… Just unusual.
