Staying near the convention center for a conference but lamenting the preponderance of chains and mediocre fare that surrounds the center and caters to tourists. Glad we made the small trek south of downtown to Thai Noodle. We had fresh spring rolls which were comparable to others we’ve had before but the sauce was outstanding with a good kick. One of us is strictly gluten free and the server was very kind and accommodating, bringing a separate sauce that was also delicious. One of us had the green curry w shrimp, the other had the Panang curry w chicken. They were both excellent. The restaurant wasn’t too cold and the background music was just that: Background (as it should be! IMO)Overall very pleased w Thai a Noodle. So glad we spent our money at a local place and a local family. Well worth improving their net worth as opposed to a corporate CEO and stockholders.

Much better place with the new owners. Food tastes much better and the staff are attentive. Been coming here for a while before and after the current owners. Must say, it’s been great thus far! It’s not in my neighborhood but worth the trek!

Wow! Get the red curry!!! Might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten, definitely the best Asian style cuisine. I got it with pork and a heat level 3, which was fairly spicy. Nice folks too. I recommend this place highly.

Really good. Went there about a week ago and got chicken Pad si ew. Yum. Went to simply Thai tonight, ordered same thing and it is not nearly as good. It’s Thai noodles from now on!

Love Pad Thai!. When I lived here years ago I would go to Thai Smile once in a while, their food wasn’t up to my standard for Thai Food but it was faster than having to buy everything and make it myself. I moved from Louisville back to Hawaii in 2007. My all time favorite Thai restaurant is in Hawaii. Now I moved back to Kentucky again and I seen the name of Thai Smile has changed to Thai Noodle. I thought, hmmmm, wonder if its the same place just a different name? I decided to try it out on Tuesday and when I seen the menu I wanted to order everything to try it all. I opted for Pad Thai with tofu since they didn’t have the Laab on the menu. I think the food is a bit pricey for that area but it is good and I don’t mind paying for food if its worth the price.( I can order this in Hawaii where the cost of living is 3 times higher than here for $7.95 ). But at Thai Noodle their Pad Thai is very good and is a large portion. I am hooked and going back tonight if they are open.

Trust me…..you need to try Thai Noodles restaurant!. I am a Louisville native who lived and worked in Thailand for nearly 20 years. Now that I’m back in Kentucky, I’m always on the lookout for authentic, good tasting Thai food. Well…..I FOUND IT!! Thai Noodles on Preston Highway not only serves food that tastes just like food in Thailand, but like GOOD food in Thailand. The Thai family who run this restaurant are extremely nice people who have a sincere desire to give people a wonderful culinary experience. The location & building may not look like a big-city 5 star establishment, but I’ve always believed the best food comes from the ‘down-to-earth’ folks anyway. Trust me……you need to give Thai Noodles a try. (And, by the way, don’t let the name fool you. They don’t serve only noodles. They have tons of delicious choices. My favorites are the Basil dishes and Cashew Chicken.

Family run. In town for medical reasons and were looking for a non chain restaurant. Found this hidden gem after googling restaurants nearby. When we arrived we almost didn’t go in. Nothing to look at from the outside, but didn’t know where else to go. The restaurant is somewhat dated and plain, but that’s all right. It was a standard thai menu. Sounds like we didn’t like it….Wrong. We loved it. The server was the owner. He was very helpful, pleasant and very attentive. The food was presented nicely and liked it better than any other thai restaurant we have been to. Conclusion….don’t judge the book by the cover. SERVICE AND FOOD WAS WONDERFUL and that’s what counts.
