I walked down from my hotel which was several blocks away. It was dark but I felt very safe and never saw any problems around. I was by myself so I sat at the bar. It was a great bar atmosphere as the Cubs were playing in the World Series. I was in the mood for a good hamburger. The bartender took my beer order then my food order. He was nice and a good server. My hamburger was wonderful and fries were good too. Service time was good even with a crowd.I will go again when I am in the area.

Great food for a pub, city prices on beer and cocktails. But the atmosphere is your basement hipster feel. Casey, our bartender, was the focal point of the night. My guest is super picky with their drinks and he was patent with us and gave great suggestions. Great location, a little difficult to find, but wonderful experience.
Just went for drinks. The atmosphere was just what we were looking for. The waitstaff were friendly… Beer was cold… Hope to return soon for the food.
Very good the beer cheese was awesome and the loaded fries are a must have! Dining in the bookcase…yes I said book case is a neat add on to an already good meal!
We were greeted by an exuberant host and were promptly seated. Great ambience & fantastic fare. Reasonably priced. We recommend you check it out.
Friendly service, and an interesting environment. I ordered the Pub Burger (medium-well) – white American cheese, shredded lettuce and tomato, served with fries; 1/4 lb. steak burger seared on a griddle and flash steamed with Founders Centenial Ale on a fresh baked corn meal dusted bun. I also ordered a cup of the vegetable beef soup, which was delicious, except for all of that salt!A very solid burger and fries; however, in my opinion, Sidebar at Whiskey Row (which is right around the corner, but more expensive) serves a better burger and fries.
