The staff was very courteous, helpful and attentive. Excellent service. The food was priced on the verge of too high for the quality we received but there is a lot worse in Louisville, KY. Calamari was presented well although just slightly rubbery as over cooked. The Fried Green Tomato salad was good as a complete dish. The FGT wasnt outstanding as a component alone but paired with the lettuce and goat cheese… it was pretty tasty. The special Butterfish flown in from Hawaii was OK but lacked seasoning. I added table-salt and was an improvement. Give Varanese a try, you might like it. I likely wont go back myself.
