The most authentic and delicious Asian food I’ve ever had. Great quality and very reasonable prices. The owner is really friendly and is walking around a lot so definitely say hi. The food is fantastic and only minimally Americanized which is a big plus. The menu is huge but my favorite are the calamari dishes because it’s real and it’s often but deeply fried as so many places do it.

I live in Canada and every year I come visit family in Louisville. My brother and sister-in-law first introduced this place to me. Now, I always make a trip to Vietnam Kitchen whenever I’m in town. They never disappoint! The mom-and-pop shop feels welcoming and relaxed; and even though the decor surely needs some updating, their food makes up for it all. I have been here twice now and noticed that the place always fills up with locals who, like me, love the food here. The Gi cun (fresh spring rolls) are always full of flavour as it is packed more with the lettuce, bean sprouts and viand than the vermicelli noodles. Most recently, I had one of their flat noodle spicy noodle soups (K6. H tiu cay Triu Chu). Although their menu indicated that it is served with either beef, pork, or chicken, I was able to request to have it served with shrimps instead. It was no problem at all and those shrimps — they were more like prawns! The spiciness of the broth was perfect and truly hit the spot. The noodles were hard to pick up with the fork or chopsticks but boy, it was filling. I will definitely come back here and would recommend everyone to give it a try (just come a little early to avoid the crowd)!

Consistently tasty. Always delicious. Service can be spotty at times but the food is so good I don’t care. Beef pho, K10, and summer rolls with pork patty are THE BEST. Hungry just thinking about it. Vietnamese iced coffee is amazing too.
