Dined here 10 years ago and had good food but the absolute worst service (to this day) of life, but received a gift card so decided to finally give them another shot. I knew it was fancy but checked the website for a dress code which is not posted. I wore a nice shirt and khaki shorts because it’s summer and was told they could only seat me in the bar area. Walked right out and went to a equally expensive and much better restaurant that had no problem seating me in shorts. Thanks @therealjeffruby for not being a idiot like this Vincenzo guy.

Derby tourist. Had reservations and got seated promptly, however my Ceasear salad was stems with brown spots on the romaine, our waiter never came back to ask how it was or offer any fresh pepper which I saw other tables getting. The stuffed ravioli was fantastic, however my cheese stuffed filet was terrible, I ordered it medium rare and came out dried out and medium well, I asked for another and was told they were all cooked that way, they didn’t offer any options when I didn’t eat but a small portion in the middle. I paid in full and left the tip but was really disappointed.

Not impressed. Decided to buy a few groupons for this with my husband because we have heard good things about this spot, but both my husband and I thought it was overpriced and overrated for the food. Reataurant interior needs updated and it is almost too karge inside- we sat at bar so we wouldn’t feel like we were sitting in a conference room with white tablecloths. Will not be back. Older crowd (Over 50) where we felt out of place- we went on a Friday night in the summer.

Always a pleasure. Went to celebrate mother’s 89th birthday. The food and service was exceptional – as always. Wife and daughter enjoyed the seafood special, the rest of us each had a different veal dish – all excellent. Mother enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer. The carciofini marini appetizer was delicious. Insalata gabriele with balsamic reduction and gorgonzola was quite tasty. A Sicilian white wine newly added to the list and moderately priced complemented the food well (sorry cannot remember the name!). All topped of with tiramisu and cannoli with coffee for dessert made complementary by Agostino!

Friday night birthday dinner. We went there on Friday night for my son’s birthday. The staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating. The decor is a little dated. It’s like it’s sort of stuff in the seventies and it hasn’t changed in years. The great giant orb sculpture in the middle of the room has to go. The paintings on the walls are ancient old, dated and frankly not that good. The food is overall amazing, though, it hasn’t changed in years. We had the salmon which was a very generous portion very well done, however it was soaked in a sauce. The sauce was very good however a good piece of salmon doesn’t need to be soaked in a sauce. The small vegetable packages were very good very fresh but again haven’t changed in years appear to be dated and very much stuff in the seventies. The staff are extremely generous with the cold water, to the point where it’s a little overwhelming having water delivered to your table every 50 seconds. Are very nice lady waitress, well she was a little overwhelmed, kind of slow, and pretty sweaty. Nice lady great server but she was just so overdressed that she was sweating like crazy. I have to say the overall the service was worth the money the food is very quality I would like to see some updating and some changes and some modernization of the decor, the seating, and the plating.

Very Disappointing. On my recommendation a colleague was hired at my place of work and moved to Louisville from Florida. To celebrate, my wife and I treated them to dinner at Vincenzo’s this past Saturday night (17-Jan-2015). We spent several weeks anticipating the evening as this is outside our usual budget.Pros:It was easy to get a Saturday at 7:30 reservation two weeks in advance. My wife’s entire meal was superb: Tomato & Mozzarella salad, Chilean Sea Bass and Raspberry cheesecake with decaf coffee. All desserts were truly wonderful and enjoyed by all.Our server Max was attentive, well-informed, courteous and friendly – I was very pleased.Cons:Both of my guests and I ordered a pasta dish with a whole lobster tail (I can’t find the name of the dish on their online menu). Being lobster lovers we were happy to pay the $41.95 price … as this was a special occasion. The pasta, vegetables and sauce were very good. The lobster was cooked to a chewy, rubbery and altogether unappetizing condition. Not wanting my wife to sit and eat alone, and not wanting to break the mood of celebration I decided not to send mine back. Today I find that both of my guests’ dishes were the same and they were as disappointed as I was. They did not wish to embarrass me after all the high praise I had heaped on Vincenzo’s prior the the event. My wife and I shared an inexpensive bottle of wine ($45) and my guests had one cocktail each. With a total price of $392 after tip I was very sorry to have gone to Vincenzo’s. I won’t make that mistake again.19 Jan, 2015Very Disappointing. On my recommendation a colleague was hired at my place of work and moved to Louisville from Florida. Food was way over priced and just awful tasting. I’m guessing they are hurting for business as they are always on groupon and living social.
