Fantastic anniversary dinner here. The service was friendly and well-informed and timed perfectly. The dishes we had-gnocchi, rabbit, and scallops- were well-composed and delicious. We will definitely return.
Sublime. Last night’s five course tasting dinner was delicious, from soup to nuts ( or in this case, from the thinly sliced smoked salmon, topped with fresh tabbouleh and a wafer-thin piece of toasted cumin-accented artisan bread starter to the olive oil cake with cardamom ice cream dessert). The calamari appetizer (not a part of my tasting menu) was unusual and divine-roasted, not fried, I think, with just the right amount of sweet and hot sauce. The beef roulade half of my surf and turf entre was a masterpiece, cooked perfectly with a hot red center and melt in my mouth tender.The restaurant renovation was marvelously successful; it has become a very attractive space, beautifully appointed and thoughtfully designed.Chef Ward is creating superlative, innovative, beautiful food…best dinner I’ve had in Louisville in a long time.
Over the top. Just left Ward 426. Atmosphere; loud… Service; OK, but too talkative and could not explain offerings without referring to written stuff…. Food; good, but not great…my $39 Lamb Chop was cool when served…way too much salt on other menu items… Cost; over the top…we enjoy fine dining regularly in Louisville and usually spend $100 per dinner. This was $183…way too much for Louisville (or Chicago, New York, etc.)!
Was in Louisville for NCAA Tournament. Ate at Ward 426 twice in the 4 days we were there. Great space, menu ( food & drink) and staff. Nirm and Shawn were both great and appreciated the time they spent w/us. Meats w/red eye gravey butter didn’t suck!!! Look forward to visiting Louisville again soon and Ward 426, especially when they get their patio open.
Good food, horrible service. The service was atrocious and the guy at the table next to us got pretty heated with his waiter because the service was so bad. Long way to go with this place.
Almost Julia. Great food, but such poor service, that it made the evening terrible. Wait staff and front desk need a great deal of training. If they are going to complete close to the best restaurants in town, service will need to improve.
Was at the soft opening this evening. Chef Ward brought his A game. Everything delicious, fabulous range of choices. A winner for sure!
