It would’ve been a 3.0 if it wasn’t for my lovely waiter. It’s called Wild EGGS for a reason, don’t even think to look at the pancakes, they’re drier than bricks, even the worst Cracker Barrel could outdo this. I had the omelette which was fairly decent but I’ve had better. I wanted to try it cause it was local. Next time I’ll give Highland Morning a shot.
Started with fresh squeezed orange juice. This was very good, and worth the $3.50 for the glass. My wife ordered the gluten-free pancakes with strawberries and chocolate chips. She thought they were very good! They have some good gluten-free items! I ordered the Mr. potato head with scrambled eggs! This dish was very good and had a little kick to it. I also ordered the cinnamon rolls, which I did NOT like. Baked earlier in the day and tasted reheated with a chewy texture. They looked way better than they tasted. I didn’t like the cream cheese icing either. Overall, good but a long wait on a Sunday. Free coffee while waiting.
Great place with great food. Service was excellent. Recommend for breakfast. Cinnamon role is great as well Wait staff is very attentive
The Chicken Crepe is a must try! The menu is full of delicious choices and every plate that passed by looked amazing. The price was very reasonable for a made to order restaurant. Service was fast, friendly & knowledgable.
This place is a must for visiting Louisville KY. Somewhat ecclectic but not an overkill. Came here for our big breakfast prior to the Ironman Louisville. The menu has a great selection for any tastes. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. I had chorizo sausage in it which was on point. Wife got the cinamon rolls that were homemade and the best Ive ever had. Grits had sausage, bacon , and jack cheese in them. Our server Aaron even had some potatoes cooked for me that I brought to eat during the Ironman the following day. That was above and beyond.
Food was really good, especially the Everything muffin. Service was also great – very friendly and fast. Pitchers of water and coffee at every table!
If you have a family of four and you want to have a terrific breakfast downtown, order the breakfast burrito Because you could feed a Cub Scout troop with it. Everything on the menu is outstanding, with a primarily Southwest flair to their flavors. Friendly servers, and even though it’s always packed on the weekends they tend to move the crowds pretty well. Spring and fall belly up to the main floor bar when they throw up the garage door, and enjoy a leisurely morning watching SportsCenter or the news while you have a bloody Mary and the best breakfast west of Toast on Market.
