Just went here for my birthday. I wanted some place fancy and with great service and I definitely got it. The inside is beautiful and the everyone from the hostess to the manager were very nice and attentive. I had lobster bisque and surf and turf with a 8 oz filet and lobster tail. All delicious. The seasoning on the steak was some of the best I’ve ever had. My friend had a Caesar salad and tuna that she said sliced like butter. We ended up getting two desserts (birthday celebration and all): the Godiva chocolate creme brle and the Grand Marnier souffl. The creme brle was fabulous but the souffl was AMAZING. Just melt in your mouth delicious. It was a very pricey meal, but the food quality and service definitely help to make up for it.

Among our favorite places in the entire city. I think the best steaks in town (yes even over some of the big-name steakhouses), terrific veal chop, and the butterfish is flown in fresh daily from Hawaii by UPS And it’s the best preparation I have ever had anywhere, including Hawaii.

Z’s is a must try for serious foodies. excellent service and gastronomic choices. I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese that was packed with four cheeses and lumps of sweet lobster meat. The sauted spinach is fresh and lightly seasoned, whipped potatoes are full of sweet butter. when you go…not if…make sure you are seated where Captain Corey will be taking care of you. Be prepared to be entertained and pampered. Kudos to this place and to Captain Corey.

Best French onion soup I’ve ever tasted. Oyster Poboy was very very good. All in my party enjoyed the meal and experience. Staff was very good!

Superb!. We ate here while in town for a conference that coincided with the start of Derby Festival and expected a rushed, crowded experience. Were we wrong… and very pleasantly so! Service was attentive and the food was excellent. Ended up making a meal off the starter menu since we couldn’t decide. The fried oysters were crisp on the outside, juicy inside, and served with both a housemade cocktal and remoulade sauce. Sweetbreads were tender and perfectly cooked. Serving the escargot stuffed into mushrooms instead of shells saved a lot of work on our part and tasted delectable. I loved the smoked salmon and the lump crab cocktail. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the ahi sashimi, but one warning – the accompanying slaw has a kick to it. We’ll be back!

Great Place for Lunch. The service is always excellent and they make a great burger. Whether just a nice quick romantic lunch for 2 or a business meeting over lunch it is a great place and convenient walk downtown.
