The entire experience was breathtaking. My mother and I stopped in for a very late dinner and they were so accommodating. Between us we ordered the Escargot, and the Cast Iron Mushrooms as appetizers. She had the Heirloom Tomato Salad while I had the Groganica Farm Salad. Im not a vegetable person, I dont like green things, I have never finished a salad in my 30+ years of life, but this salad…this salad…the lettuce was extremely fresh, as were the tomatoes and the candied pecans were divine. The best part was that Kiwi Vinaigrette. I shoveled that salad down as if it were chocolate. Im telling you, as someone who doesnt eat salads, it was the best thing I have ever tasted. We ordered the Chateaubriand for two as our main entree, with the Gratin Daphinois and Provenal Tomato as our sides and we were floored when it arrived. The cut of beef was enormous, and was cooks perfectly. It melted in our mouths, the tomatoes were juicy and savory and those au Gratin potatoes were to die for. They were flaky and buttery and amazing. We ended the meal with the monthly dessert special, Black Forrest Cake, and my mother and I ended up dueling with our forks for the last piece. The entire meal was phenomenal. To top it off, I had a very dry sangria cocktail and my mother had a Virgin Mary and they were superbly crafted as well, and surprisingly paired perfectly with our meal. Our server was amazing and the owner was very warm and friendly, despite the fact that we felt extremely underdressed having just gotten in from out of town. This is my new favorite restaurant in Louisville. Perhaps my new favorite ever. I dont think theres a single things I could order here that I wouldnt like. This is the perfect place for a date, for a girls night, for any special occasion, and I could eat the food every day. Phenomenal!

Very lovely restaurant. Recommended for a romantic evening, nice cozy fireplace! Wonderful authentic French cuisine and the staff is wonderful. Our own piece of Provence right here in Louisville! I will definitely be doing Valentines Day here!

Last minute decision for dinner out tonight with hubby. What a great meal!! We started out with Fruits de Mir consisting of mussels, clams and shrimp followed by Isola and Lyonnaise salads. All were so delicious! I had been here for lunch a couple of times (which was also awesome) but never for dinner. Service was great as well! We will definitely be back.

I’m not a food critic (cont’d). I mispoke when I estimated 90min. We arrived at 7pm and were seated immediately ,and we paid the check around 9:30pm. It hardly seemed that long. Very enjoyable.28 May, 2015I’m not a food critic. We had a lovely meal which consisted of 4 courses. We started with an aperitif, an apetizer, a soup,a main course, desert with French press coffee, and finally cheese and wine. We made reservation on a Wednesday evening so there was hardly a crowd at all. The waiter and staff were American , so we felt very comfortable asking questions. The owner is french and was very helpful with wine selection. Our favorites were the French onion Soup, the rattitoutie, the French press coffee, and the pastry for dessert. The whole experience took about 90min once we were seated and cost was $150 before tip for my wife and I. We had several glasses of wine and sampled extra dishes as well so you can dine cheaper than we did ,but it’s a special occasion experience.

Wonderful service. Even better food. I ordered the three course choice which came with an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. The appetizer I ordered was their mussels, one of the best mussel appetizers I’ve ever had. The cream wine sauce complimented the mussels perfectly. The entree I got was the cod dish and it was seasoned expertly. The dessert was a raspberry hazelnut layer cake to end such a great meal. Our server also made our meal even better she was so polite (Krisztine.) One of my new favorites.

Lunch was awful!. The restaurant setting is classy, service was good, but the food was bland and not like French cuisine I’ve had before. The Boulabaise was nothing but a watered down potato soup with some fish. Bland and needed seasoning. Where was the Pernod ? The onion tart was not a French tart, but a pizza with cartelized onions. The tapenad was oily bread with salty toppings. The benet apetizer was all dough with minimal fillings of onion, octopus, some vegetables again bland and not French. I will not go back. The wine we picked was good.
