HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. This use to be a place I frequented on regular occasions but have had enough with the incompetent bartenders and servers. At one time Joe’s was a happening place to go. Ownership and lazy service staff have run the place into the ground. Several times you’ll find no bartender at their post because they are outside smoking and gossiping. The servers look like just came off a 3 day Meth binge. I truly encourage you to find other sports bar choices.
Sad and horrible experience.. We arrived shortly after 7 pm on Monday, August 11, 2014. We waited at least 15 to 20 minutes for our waitress to appear. It was already obvious she was over worked and short handed on the patio. It was trivia night inside and that is obviously where Joe’s Older than Dirt focus was. We were a family with grandchildren and it was obvious we were being ignored. We placed our order and then had a hard time getting drink refills. We finally got served about 9 pm. My catfish came along with my partners cheeseburger platter. Rather than getting gently brown catfish filet, I got what looked like a blackened, batter dipped crust with a hint of catfish. The cheeseburger was dry and tasteless. It took so long to get our food, the waitress suggested submitting another order for our Philly Cheese steak sandwich because the first one would be cold. The best thing on the table was probably the children’s chicken nuggets. That’s really sad.We know the waitress, Lindsey, was trying her best but the kitchen staff was really making her look bad. Joe’s needs to fire everyone in the kitchen then hire new staff and pay them better. This visit was disgusting and pitiful. Always dissapointed in the food.. Joe’s has great atmosphere and decent beer prices but… The food always dissapoints us. we say every time we go there to eat that we won’t go back. But every once in a while we find ourselves there to meet friends and end up ordering something. Latest trip we ordered a Sampler to snack on. It was terrible and way over priced. Don’t bother. If you want a place to go to have a few drinks or watch a game its not too bad. Just don’t go hungry!
Under the tent. Bought a Groupon to use here. We sat outside under the tent on a nice afternoon. The food here wasn’t bad, although it may have been overcooked a little. Our waitress brought us the wrong appitizer by mistake and didn’t get our order for awhile. I did like their fish sandwich and kettle chips. And the live music was pretty good as well.
Karaoke on Thursdays is where it’s at!! The outdoor pool tables are also pretty awesome, especially in the summer.
Great food. This is a great place to grab a casual dinner and a few ice cold beers. The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had there. In the winter, its cozy, and in the summer there are plenty of outdoor tables to enjoy the weather.
Came in and told the server we were starving. Asked if the pizza would be quick. She said it would be. 45 minutes and three complaints later (I had to track her down each time in another part of the restaurant), the pizza came. She then disappeared until she brought our check 20 minutes later. Unbelievable. Inexcusable service. She said she would take care of the check. Not a penny was discounted.
