Despite being a popular restaurant in the Lyndon area, and receiving largely positive reviews, Joe’s has the dubious distinction of being our worst food/restaurant experience while living in Louisville.For an appetizer, we ordered the cheese sticks (served with marinara sauce), which seemed store bought. These cheese sticks were served cold and were tasteless.The fried chicken sandwich, which was served on a cold sesame seed bun, with questionable lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions, was bland and soggy. The broccoli casserole was nothing but cheese. The fried corn was chewy and overcooked. The hush puppies were soggy. The shrimp were served cold and were of poor quality. The mashed potatoes were cold and had an odd overall taste. Finally, the macaroni and cheese was (wait for it) …. served cold. There was literally nothing on the table that we wanted to eat! Awful service, abysmal food = us not ever returning!
