Fantastic local eats. This place is so damn tasty. And, it’s local, they deliver all over the place, it’s cheap, and the food is top-quality. All the sides are made in-house, and the meat, bread, and toppings on their sandwiches really is of the utmost quality. They don’t skimp. And yet, the place is very reasonably priced. I’ll get a full sandwich, with fries and a side (usually either the chili or pasta salad), delivered, and even with a decent tip it’s only about $12. And there’s so much of it I often have a tough time finishing the whole meal, even if I didn’t eat breakfast that day.The only downside? Their ridiculous hours. M-F, 10-4, or something like that. I understand that that’s how they do things there, but it’s really frustrating. But, all said and done, that’s not a bad way to be, when the only bad thing about the place is the hours. Oh, and the dining room is pretty tiny, but this place is mostly delivery, anyway.
So amazng!!! Great Staff and great food.. This is by far one of the best places for sandwiches. Our company has been odering from the for quite some time and every time the food is fantastic!!! They have a great selection and are always courteous over the phone and they deliver our food very quickly. Thumbs up for The Starving Artist.
GREAT PLACE! Phenomenal food!. I have ate starving artist cafe more then 20 times, I love it! I have nothing bad to say about this place and I am usually a tough critic! Great food, friendly service and delivery is always quick! I feel like I eat here everyday and it never gets old! Love it!
Lyndon’s best kept secret. I dare anyone to find a better bowl of soup anywhere in Louisville. All soups are good… home made… and comfort food. The Reuben is good too… but always order soup.
Great food, fun atmosphere!. Delicious sandwiches. Homemade soups daily with homegrown veggies (when available). A healthy alternative to fast food. I’ve been going to the Starving Artist for over 10 years and it just keep getting better. Great job Angie and Tim! My kids love it too:)
This place has been locally owned and operated for 11 years since its opening. The food is great, meat is good quality, and delivery is an option. Call after 2 and delivery will be there in less than 30 minutes but during lunch hours I would call ahead, they get very busy, so plan ahead 🙂 all of the soups are home made from scratch and often feature vegetables from the owners garden. My personal favorite is the Michael Jackson you can’t get a chicken sandwich like this anywhere, and the smoked chicken salad… omg its awesome, I mean come on, who has smoked chicken salad? NOBODY BUT THE STARVING ARTIST.
Terrible Service. Although their food is delicious, the service I just received over the phone was absolutely appalling. You would think when someone calls from a company with 300+ employees and have been repeat costumers for some time now you’d be treated with just a touch of respect and kindness. This menu is outdated, and an actual website is extremely hard to find. The woman who took our order had the absolute worse attitude and treated my like I was a moron. Will never order again.
