Great sushi but service dreadful when busy.. 3/13/15 Been a patron since they opened. Food always good but service consistently very poor on weekends and when they are busy. You’d think by now John and his family would have figured this out.
Hidden Gem. We happened to find this place while looking for a sushi restaurant close to our home. It’s a small understated place in a shopping strip on Shelbyville Rd., not far from I-265 in Louisville. The food and service were excellent. The sushi was well presented and we have not had better sushi in the city. The price was right as well.
Delicious!. I am still dreaming about the delicious meal I had here last week! The sushi was fresh, creative, delicious and amongst the best.
Pretty Solid. We go to eat here for lunch at least 3 or 4 times a month. The sushi has always been very tasty, and they have a lot of great options. They also have some interesting options like a Yam Roll. The place is very clean and the people are nice. My only real complaint is that sometimes they can be a little slow when it’s not even crowded. Not extremely so, but just something to be aware of with time constraints. Overall, this is a good sushi place to find hidden in the East End.
Best Sushi in Louisville. We came here on a whim a few years ago, because we wanted sushi, but didn’t want to go to Bardstown Rd. We were skeptical since the restaurant is in a small strip mall but like other reviewers, we found that it is a hidden gem! The sushi is ALWAYS good. We have never had bad sushi there. It is fresh, and well prepared. We typically order a salad each with the ginger dressing, two or three varying special rolls, quail egg shooters, and sashimi. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and always clean. We usually go on Sundays, and it has never been busy. This is our go-to for sushi, and it will be yours as well!
So surprised by their awful customer service. 20 min after hanging up and placing a carryout order they called me back to tell me that they were too busy to make my order! Total shock!!!
Awesome!!!. Delicious food and great service!!! Much better than I had. I definitely recommend to all my friends and will come back again. I wonder when we will have this kinda Japanese restaurant in Indiana (where I live now).
