What a fun place! Came here to eat before going to a haunted house and was not disappointed. Excellent pretzels, had a delicious hofbrau hot brown and a big stein. Atmosphere is great, food and drink is great, cant wait to come back!
So I may be a little more picky from having lived in Germany, but I’m not impressed by the food. The pretzels and beer cheese were good. The kaese spaetzle has WAY to much onion in it, it’s about all you can taste. The sauce on the jaeger schnitzel is sweet and it shouldn’t be. Probably should have ordered the plain old Wiener schnitzel as the pork seemed decent. Good atmosphere but the food is lacking.
Really nice German place. Good food, apart from sausage which was awful! Didn’t have anything in common with the German Wurst. Nice live music, friendly staff. We spent a nice evening here!
I know the chances of getting AUTHENTIC German are slim, but really? Deep fried potato pancakes? Not seasoned like real German. Actually, not seasoned at all. Jger schnitzel ok, but not memorable. German potato salad tasted ok, but the potatoes weren’t done. The cabbage…it was good. But, IMHO, there’s got to be better German out there. As an out of towner, I don’t know where. But if you’re ever in Tulsa, Seigi’s or if you’re lucky enough to make Germanfest or Christkindlmarkt at the German American Society… It will spoil you for the faux commercial food out there.
Heidelberger Rahm Sptzle (pulled Chicken And Sptzle). A scrumptious meal of chicken sauted in a mushroom marsala sauce, served over schnitzel. This one is not to be missed! Be prepared to take a nap after this one, though. Leftovers, if you even have any, are almost better than the original meal.
