35 minutes for a hamburger?!?!?. Went for lunch. Knew I was in trouble when my number was 99, and right after my order they called 81! Then as I walked along the counter I saw the grill cook pull a partially cooked burger out of a pan, and throw it on the flat top. Two employees to run the joint at lunch time is a joke. 35 minutes later the burger tasted exactly like you would expect given the method of preparation. Take the time to walk a block to the Levee and get a 5 Guys……….
Great local place! Tasty selection of burgers, awesome fries, nice interior decor. Why the reviews comparing to five guys I have no idea. Five guys is great too but they are a national chain and don’t offer the same creative toppings. Support your local business!
Massive and delicious. My wife and I were in town for the evening and were looking for a good burger – we both tried the American Outlaw and loved it. Juicy and delicious. Shared a large fry – super crispy and great with vinegar. Definitely our go to burger place when we are here.30 Nov, 2014My wife were in town for the evening, and just wanted a good burger. We found it at Mad Mike’s. American Outlaw was massive and delicious and a large fry more then satisfied us both. One complaint bring back the milkshakes!
Great Burgers. I really love the burgers here. I usually get the one with Mango Chutney and blue cheese. Yummy. Although the pretzel or ciabatta bread is clearly an upsell, lots of their burgers are really juicy and these two breads are a little more heavy and don’t get soggy, so I would recommend them. Fries are good and for a smaller joint, they have a pretty fair beer selection ( none on tap) at reasonable prices. I have tried the chicken sandwiches ( don’t) and the cheese fries aren’t so great either. I wouldn’t let that keep you away though, come for the burgers and fries. You won’t be sorry.
Finally a good burger! Only drawback…I live in Dayton and had to drive to Newport, KY to get it! Flavorful and really, really good! The burgers here are HUGE. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. The Hawaii-Five-O was tasty but needed more pineapple. This place won’t hurt your wallet, you’ll leave full & happy….bring your appetite! Dayton could take lessons from Mad Mike….wish we had a burger place like this.
