Great restaurant inside a Holiday Inn! This restaurant has a nice atmosphere as it’s on the river so the window tables have a nice view. This is a chain restaurant but it was my first time eating here so it was new to me. We enjoyed our dinner and we were impressed with some of the menu items. I was especially impressed with the beignets! I haven’t seen beignets on a menu in this area. The food was all very tasty. The fried green tomatoes were great as was the burger I ordered. My friend ordered the beignets and wow, they were fabulous. My husband ordered a steak and he didn’t think it was the best ever it but it was good. Overall we were impressed and we will be back again! Give it a try if you haven’t been here and do not miss the beignets.
I visited here for lunch recently with a friend and tried the Nellie’s Delight sandwich, which I really liked. My friend got the club, which he also liked. The service was great and we sat out and watched the river flow by, A very nice dining experience, and found inside a Holiday Inn at that!
We were very impressed with Another Broken Egg Cafe, and will become frequent patrons in the future. Pleasant decor, beautiful scenery and friendly staff, as well as a creative menu, especially for the area. We were seated immediately.Outstanding gourmet coffee (and yes, I do enjoy the Cafe’s coffee mugs, but those mugs cost $18.00 per mug – outrageous!). I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes (served with a jumbo lump crab cake), with fresh spinach and topped with goat cheese, red peppers and creole remoulade sauce. I also ordered the Classic Biscuit & Gravy (house-made country gravy with sausage over an open-faced biscuit, two eggs over-easy, and two pieces of bacon), served with fresh sliced tomatoes and Mediterranean Potatoes. A wonderful dining experience!
What a great place!Even though it’s situated within the Holiday Inn hotel, it does not have the hassle of checking in to enjoy.Great breakfast selections and wonderful quality. Picturesque view of the river and an overall nice atmosphere. If you need breakfast, and you’re in Owensboro- come here, no further decision making required.
Great food reasonable prices. Service was prompt and polite.
Banana’s Foster Bread Pudding. This rich dish is large enough to share but you won’t want to. The caramel sauce and sliced bananas make this bread pudding too good to share.15 Apr, 2015Mediterranean Potatoes. Savory and creative15 Apr, 2015New Opening Pains. A small group (4 of us) ate at this restaurant for lunch while attending a conference at the convention center. It had been open 13 days and was packed. The menu boasted of creative offering of eggs benedict, omelets, and sandwiches. While most menu items had eggs not all of them did. The atmosphere is nice with creative artwork and a beautiful view of the river. However, there were many things that need to be worked out with this new restaurant to entice me to return. The service was fair but it took 30 minutes to get the food from the kitchen to our table. The wait staff and manager was apologetic and brought us the banana’s foster bread pudding for dessert to make up for it. I can’t review the food objectively because it wasn’t hot when we got it and slightly dried out. However, the dessert was amazing and the Mediterranean potatoes were delicious.
