I drive by here often but i have never eaten there and I never will. If you drive behind the place you will always see their back door wide open with no screen, easy access for insects and rodents. You can also see lots of dirty pans and dishes piled up in the three compartment sink and usually an employee sitting on a milk crate smoking a cigarette.
Seriously delicious. I was so surprised at how amazing this food was. So sorry I waited so long to try this place out. I will be back and bring everyone. It may look small, but very much worth investigating
Longest wait ever with very terrible service. Went to the restaurant . Arrived at 525 ordered at 530. Ordered all you can eat catfish for 1299. 1 hour and 5 minutes later received our order with two small fillets. This happened after watching the table next to us received a third helping in less than 20 minutes. To top it off, the food (catfish and fries were cold) . We immediately asked for more fish , 35 minutes later we received two more pieces. Why would anyone want to stay at eatery for two hours to get cold food. And to top even that, the (i assume he was the manager )offered to take care of our ticket. That meant he dropped the price 3 dollars to 999 for horrible food. All at the same time telling us that we could take the take out boxes with us that had the 2 extra pieces of fish that we stayed two hours to get. Remember this was all you can eat! Suffice to say , we will never be back. Feel sorry for this place, good management and an extra fryer or two could make the business successful. What a waste!.
Terrible phone customer service. I tried to call Catfish Willy’s at 7 p.m. on March 14. Someone picked up the phone, did not answer the phone and I only heard background noise for 24 minutes. I was determined foe someone to at least say, hello this is Catfish Willy’s. The manager finally happened to answer the phone after the 27 minute mark!!!!! Even though she was apologetic it was not her fault.. It was just someone lazy that works for her! I don’t care how busy your restaurant is… The person couldn’t just say hello to a possible customers. Why would I want to eat there!!!!???? Catfish Willy’s just lost a customer!!!!!!!
Good for Owensboro. All you can eat catfish is good but more on the plate at a time would be better vs. having to constantly ask the waitress for more and have her get busy and sit there with an empty plate. The crab bucket was way too small. The crabs at New China buffet are better and cheaper. As a true born cajun born and raised in SE TX and SE La. I suggest big portions, lots of flavor and spice, and plenty of elbow room to move around. The last thing you want is to walk into a tiny room full of people. Going to try ya’lls all you can eat crawfish tomorrow. Liked that you had it last week for fat Tues. But crawfish is an acquired thing…people around here don’t always get it. No cajun in their right mind would pay $10 a pound. Places in Texas / La. 25 bucks get you all you can eat. Use a liquid boil and powder and let em soak after they cooked. Use your left overs for touffe. Give samples of crawfish out to people not ordering it b/c people have never tried it here and keep in mind half the fun of a crawfish boil is the party. The beer, the beer flats they are served in, the company, the zydeco. Keep it up. Owensboro needs ya’ll. Laisse les bon temps rouler Cher
Upset customer. Took my wife to Catfish Willy’s today on Valentines Day we knew we would have to wait and we did just not very long when we were called to get our table we sit down my wife order water i ordered Dr. Pepper the waitress brought us our drinks and told us the special which is the reason for us coming we ordered the 2 lobsters and crab legs my wife loves lobster being from Maine. i took a drink of my Dr Pepper and was very flat told the waitress and she said she would have it changed at that time she said they ran out of Crab legs and they had somebody going to the store to get some she would send out the rest of the order and the crab legs would come later we said this was fine i myself ordered a steak med well. I waited and she never came back with my drink 10 minutes finally asked another person for a tea he brought it right away. it took a long time get our food finally she brought out the Bucket with lobster and crab legs which were supposed to come out later parts of the lobsters were cold she my wife tried to eat the tail of one and she couldn’t even cut the tail with a fork it was so over cooked she broke the other tail and was the same way she had 5 bites we told them we just wanted our money back my steak was well well done and dry I asked for A1 and they had no steak sauce. so when it was time to pay they told us she would us 50% of the 50.00 dollar bucket which we had 5 bites of. my wife sent a private message on their FaceBook page and they ended up blocking her. Need to say we will not be going back
EXTRA EXTRA. Have been regular customer and food is very good! I ordered a take out of Seafood fanatic and I asked for 6 slices of sausage they are about size of a silver dollar and recently these had been left out of my orders! I was charged $11.99 for these slices on top of my order! each slice was approx. $2.00 Wow my fault for thinking they would charge extra but fairly!! So buyer beware and make sure you get all info. Won’t make that mistake again!! The old saying I don’t mind You making a living but NOT all from Me applies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
