Regular customer. Like the food. Service is usually good. The serving sizes seem to be shrinking(especially the sides) and I hate their music. Why do restaurants think they have to have music?
Owensboro, KY restaurant. My husband and I eat at Cracker Barrel fairly often, and we love the food! But PLEASE; could we have something besides that awful, whiny, sad country music. We ate there this afternoon (had the brisket meal, wonderful food!) and I could not wait to leave the place because of that mournful, sad, slow, whiny music. Please consider something else; possibly something quiet like piano solos, orchestra music, something besides sad and slow and mournful music. Could run us off for good if it keeps up, as much as we love the food. Can’t stand that music. Thanks for listening.
If you’ve never tried their grilled roast beef, you’re really missing out on a pleasant surprise (unless beef isn’t your thing!). Not your typical presentation…looks and tastes more like steak than a roast and is melt-in-your-mouth tender! Served w/ grilled onions and mushrooms. I’ve had it over-cooked a time or two (charred-black edges) but the manager was very courteous and went to oversee the prep himself and it was then cooked to perfection. He even comp-ed part of our bill. As with franchise menus and preparation, the great part is that you should be able to go to any CB and get the same item prepared the same way. This held true in Henderson, KY.
Breakfast. Always a great choice for breakfast. Staff is nice and the service was quick.
I came in from Ga. Stopped by ordered fried catfish , it took forever, when it finally came it had been swimming in burnt grease, absolutely the worst meal I have ever had from a cracker barrel. I will not go back to this one!

Cracker Barrel is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. The service is great and the staff is super friendly. The food is always delicious and I love the fact that I can take my daughter to look at the toys while we wait on our food.
