Lure is a beautiful restaurant in a city without a lot of fine dining options, especially seafood. It is attached to a newer hotel in an area that has been recently renovated on the waterfront. The decor and vibe of the place is great. It’s very pretty inside. The restaurant is on the river and that’s a nice touch. Being a girl from the coast I am always a bit leery of seafood places without any sign of the ocean nearby! I love seafood however and have been here a few times. It’s pretty good. I enjoyed the scallops but do not care for the semi-cooked bacon around them. I removed that and then they were tasty. I’ve enjoyed the non-seafood entrees more than the seafood. We do enjoy the calamari appetizer. My favorite entree so far has been the veggie plate. It was great. I also like the cocktail menu and have tried several drinks. We are never overwhelmed with our dinners but they are consistently good. Again, there aren’t any fabulous places that I’ve found in Owensboro.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and got the bourbon barrel beer, it was great. They had a guitar player that was worth staying for an extra beer. I started with a house salad with vinegar and oil and it was very good. My entree was the blackened catfish, it was good, but the best part was the grits. It was served with boiled okra and tomatoes, I personally don’t like them anywhere anytime. All in all, I had a very good meal and enjoyed the whole evening

Just walked in the door at the Lure. I will review as the meal progresses… Prompt, pleasant service. Everyone has a smile. Comfortable atmosphere. Live music on the patio. Reservations probably wise, as it looks like it could fill up quickly on a busy night. The desserts at the next table look delicious. Good presentation of courses. I ordered the swordfish jambalaya… Too salty, but interesting combination of ingredients. Worth a visit to this establishment.

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for drinks and an appetizer. The local craft beer and the cocktail we’re promptly served and the sausage appetizer was excellent. We will definitely be back for dinner.

The best restaurant in Owensboro by far! Impeccable service and top quality food and drinks. Beautiful restaurant and gorgeous views of the Ohio river. A great place to bring out of town guest or spend your anniversary or birthday. Every meal I’v had has been amazing. This is definitely my go to restaurant!!!
