Terrible service. Second time we ate here. First time for the basement pub. Food was good. Service was the worst we have ever had. Waited 45+ minutes for our food. Took forever to get drinks too. Our check was $100+…guess we expected more. Doubt we will go back. Couple we were with got a 10% discount (smaller check than ours). We received nothing.
My wife and went to the Miller House on our date night last night… we were seated by the owner who was pleasant, offered a choice of where to sit and a little chit chat about the house. Food was top tier, lemon drop Martin’s is dangerously good….. service was friendly but she was overstreched. Never have had a bad experience there.

In-House and Catering: PERFECTION. After a wonderful tasting at the Miller House, my wife and I were thrilled to ask them to cater our wedding, and to share their sophisticated take on southern cooking with our friends and family from around the country. Not only were they incredibly pleasant to work with, engaged and flexible and kind, as well as very reasonably priced, but they also managed to travel a long distance, set up a grill on a site with no kitchen, and make an amazing three-course meal with a variety of appetizers, entrees, and sides. They made our special night perfect. I cannot recommend them highly enough–their food is amazing, and they are wonderful to work with!!
Worth the wait. If you are looking for a pleasant, low key dining experience with Southern fare, The Miller House is a good place to go. The basement bar is a nice place for a more social and lively experience with at least a hundred bourbons and flat screens to watch sports. The service is friendly and the food is great. The only con is the slow service. Be prepared for long delays between visits from the wait staff. In summary, the food is worth the wait because the pleasant environment and friendly staff make up for it.
Another great dining experience! The food was superb!! Try the cider chicken… Wonderful! Also the meatloaf is delicious!03 Oct, 2012I have been to Miller House several times & have had consistently great dining experiences. The food is wonderful, great selection, the service is fine, prices certainly reasonable & the dining rooms are lovely! I always look forward to the next visit… Wonderful in a word!
Overall the food is excellent, the atmosphere is wonderful but there is always a problem. Either steaks are well over cooked time and time again, or bones in the fish or they even mess up your reservation. I have been to this restaurant too many times and there will always be something wrong with your experience. You just have to go and see what they will leave out of your dinner making you wish you had gone somewhere else.
