I don’t know a restaurant in owensboro that can defeat the quality to price ratio of that this restaurant provides.They could charge a lot more, however, their menu remains very affordable.06 Aug, 2014This is one of the BEST restaurants in owensboro. I get take out from here all the time as well as dine in when I have the time. The staff is always friendly. Sometimes I come in to pick up take out when they are very busy (example: during a lunch rush) however, I try to call in when they aren’t so busy – commen courtesy. However how busy they are they greet me with a smile and are always professional. They have the best hibachi in owensboro. I have seen them work with only two servers during a lunch rush and three people came in at the same time to pick up take out orders. It did take some time ( as they only had two servers on at the time) however they were so nice despite whatever distress they were probably feeling. The food was amazing despite their rush and short staff and they were as friendly as ever. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the owensboro area. The staff is amazing, the food is delicious, and I’ve never had a bad experience or wrong order. And that’s something, considering I’ve been a patron at this restaurant for over two years.

My review. I love tokyo for the simple face that they have the shrimp sauce instead of yum yum sauce. It is like a lower quality japanese restaurant. I would compare authentic mexican food to a nice japanese restaurant and taco bell to tokyo. I do enjoy eating there but service can be pretty slow sometimes. Most servers are young and in highschool, so you get exactly that. The food is pretty good. My husband isn’t a fan but I do like going occasionally.
Great Place. I really miss Tokyo since I moved to Lexington for school. I mentioned this before and my review was removed. I guess you can be from Pan Asian and do ads for them here or be a crazy cat lady but not genuinely talk about how much you love a restaurant. Feh.Here’s a list of why its great.1.) No waiting for a bunch of strangers to join your table before you can get order.2.) The prices are incredibly cheap. Here in Lex a hibachi chicken will run you 15 bucks but here it’s only 6. 3.) It isn’t greasy Chinese food. 4.) The servers all work as a team to take care of the tables so you can ask any of them for what you need if your server is busy.5.) The owners aim to please the customers.6.) Portions are big for the price. And the price is set all day, no time change where they try and charge you more money for the same meals.7.) There isn’t a break in middle of the day like most Japanese restaurants.8.) The yum yum sauce and the edamame. 9.) The fish tank gives kids something to do when they finish eating. There’s usually lots of Nemos swimming around.10.) I like the way they make their sweet tea.So these are some reasons why you should give Tokyo in Owensboro a shot and not be fooled by people that want to bring this great little local business down.
Pretty good overall. Service is always good and friendly. The meat quality is on par with the bargain price, but the yum yum sauce and rice is what keeps us coming back. They could teach the big boys a thing or two about spicing up the yum yum to perfection!
Excellent! Friendly staff & delicious food! I ate there for the 1st time a week ago and have already been back. Portion sizes are huge and the low prices make this a new favorite of mine.
