Fundamentally sound sandwich shop.
A lovely old time lunch counter but mediocre food and short on service. Two waitresses, neither of whom spoke until I did. For breakfast I ordered the scotch eggs and toast. Neither the eggs nor the toast arrived hot. The eggs were room temperature and the toast wasn’t even warm enough to melt the margarine that was spread on it. Even though there was only one other guest present, no one checked on me or offered drink refill the whole time I was there. My waitress silently threw my check on the table as she walked by. Kind of a shame that such a cute little place isn’t working harder for repeat business.
Cute Lunch Counter Eatery. We recently tried Lil’s for the first time, and it turned out pretty good! When you walk in, the left side of the store is dedicated to the lunch counter with a few tables and chairs. The right side is an antique store. The staff was friendly, and was able to explain everything on the menu to us. There looked to be a few regulars that were in this day as well. We ordered a quiche, and it was excellent! Great desserts too! We’ll be going back again.
