I used to suggest this place heartily anytime someone asked about sushi. The owner is great, and the food used to be too.Let me tell you about the visit that made me swear to never go back.My hubby and I had a friend and her kid in town. We decided to go here for dinner, and arrived about an hour before closing (this will become relevant). We’re sat in a booth and order our food and drinks. We don’t get our meal until about 45 minutes AFTER close. We’re already not happy, but stuff happens. We hear the waitresses complaining loudly to the manager about having to stay late. We mostly pick at the food because it is definitely not edible (we got sushi that had clearly either been left out a while or made with fish that was going bad). All the adults get food poisoning from what little we did eat. We pay and leave maybe 15 minutes after we receive our food.As we are walking to the car, the waitress who was complaining the loudest stalked out after us, cussing us out, flipping us off, and throwing things at us. I wish I was exaggerating.TLDR Food and service went WAY down hill, and if you want to catch the owner without catching food poisoning try his other business.
Our favorite place. Third trip here and never had a bad experience or food. The sushi is excellent, habachi meals are delicious, and the fried bananas are to die for. Quiet and comfortable atmosphere with a traditional touch. I can’t recommend this place enough.
My wife and I just ate here and it was fabulous. It has a wonderful atmosphere, quiet and the food was great. My wife had hibachi chicken and I had Mongolian bar. We also had an appetizer all for under $25 dollars. We will definitely eat here again
Worst dining experience ever. We were the only customers in Tokyo this evening and the wait staff acted as if the place was empty. We were the only table and our waiter couldn’t be found to check out- until I went to wash my hands in the bathroom where he was cleaning the sink counter top and talking on his cell phone. Waiter was clueless in customer service- didn’t know the menu; there was a lag time of over 10 minutes between our two entrees being served. Food was unremarkable. Atmosphere appeared clean and could be a wonderful experience if they get the basics right. Pass on this place.
The service is always very fast, friendly, and attentive. Lots of options too whether it’s sushi, an ordered entree, the Mongolian grill (my favorite), or the Sunday buffet.
From Start to Finish, Everything was Perfect! Greeted and seated immediately. Sweet Tea was fabulous. Ordered Hibachi Salmon Lunch ($8). Came with Miso Soup. I do not like tofu but I did like the soup. The lunch came out in a Bento box which I was really impressed with because I am picky about my food touching (I will post pics). Came with a super fresh salad, steamed rice, mixed veggies and Salmon. The fish was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were delicious. The staff was extremely attentive. I can’t wait to go back!
Great Sushi Comes to Radcliff. I saw this place while out running some errands and it looked so nice that I thought I would stop in. The dcor is done very well, its probably the best looking place in Radcliff. The service was outstanding. I would be very hard pressed to say anything bad about the cleanliness, atmosphere, and especially the great service of this restaurant. Now on to the important part; the food. Let me start off by saying I am a big sushi and sashimi fan. I have eaten it in a lot of places throughout America and Europe. The sushi at Tokyo Asian Cuisine was some of the best I have had. I was floored that it was so good, being that it was in Radcliff which doesnt have a good reputation for quality restaurants. Highly recommended, especially to people in E-town who have to deal with Ginza and Kanzi- Ginza is OK I guess, but Kanzi is downright terrible. This is probably the best restaurant in Radcliff depending on your taste for Japanese/Asian.
